Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1959 Description
1959 Chevy Belair, complete frame off restoration with a great Pro Touring look. Please allow time for the 42 pictures to load. This car is definitely a one of a kind. It is a show car but I drive it all the time. That’s what it was built for driving and I’m telling you it drives and rides as good as my new caddy. This was a 3 ½ year build and no short cuts were taken. As you can see the color of the car is black and the car is big so you know this car is straight or It would show in a heart beat. The body needed no body work this car spent its whole life in California and the body was incredible when I stripped the car. The paint that we used is the black that they use to make black paint so it is deep black and the paint looks wet. I’m telling you there’s not a nicer 59 in the country. The paint is unreal as the pictures show. I also had all the trim chromed on the car all the aluminum anodized pieces on the car were stripped and then chromed it cost me a lot of money but man the chrome looks so good against the black. The engine compartment is a show piece by its self. The fire wall was smoothed, no wires are showing, the air conditioning lines are run under the inner fender wells (see picts) . The underside has all the original floor pans and cross members and has been done in a light protective substance called Lizard Skin it is very neat looking and works as a sound deadener. It also protects the underside from stone chips and scratches this stuff is awesome. The rear end has a 410 gear and has been narrowed to allow for the deep dish Billet wheel. The car has a 4 link with Strong Arm trailing arms. The gas tank is a polished stainless tank that looks really good under the car and the fuel pump is in the tank for the LS motor. The suspension work is air ride By ride tech and gives the car that awesome stance. There are four corner air bags and can be controlled from the cab of the car and gives the car any stance you prefer. The engine is a LS 1 that is dressed up to the hilt with the chrome intak, the Billet front runner system, ceramic coated headers, a polished aluminum BE Cool Radiator, Custom smoothed and painted injector covers, and Strong Arm Tubular A arms. The engine is show boy and so is the compartment it sits in. The transmission is the manual 6 speed T56 trans and it shifts very smooth. The 410 gears and the 6 speed trans allows you to start out quick but also cruise at 80 MPH in 6 gear overdrive and get 23 MPG. The interior is all leather like Material with the Daytona tight weave carpet .The carpet in the car was 1,100 dollars alone. The sound system includes a AM/FM/DVD Player and there is a screen in the front of the radio (see picture of the music video by ZZ Top) Oh by the way it sound like you’re in a concert hall inside the car. There is a Amp, sub woofer, air tank, compressor, and battery in the finished trunk. The Billet steering wheel looks great in the car and so does the chrome tilt Ididit column. All the Dakota VDO gauges fit perfectly in the original 59 dash and really look good especially at night when they have a soft red glow. The motor and interior have red accent lights that work by a switch located under the dash and really look good when sitting at a show and it starts getting dusk out. The air conditioning is mounted neatly and the controls are mounted in the original slide bar area. The air blows so hard and cold it will freeze you out. The car is equipped with 4 wheel power Corvette disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. They look fantastic sitting behind the 20 and 22’’ Billet Specialties’ wheels. This is one nice car and it runs as good as it looks. The car dosent even have a squeek in it.
