Chevrolet Corvair 1962 Description

Really cool and fun to drive Rampside. The body and paint is driver quality. The mileage is unknown but the motor was from a low mileage 140hp corsa. Rust breaking through on left lower bedside but truck is extremely solid. Repainted interior, upholstered seat/headliner, new weatherstripping. Driveline is 140 engine with 2 carbs blocked off. I did rings, and pushrod tubes, 2 new carbs, alternator conversion, fan bearing, new clutch and dual exhaust. Radir Wheels. Runs, and shifts great, stops on a dime. steering is pretty tight for an FC. No heat. front springs were cut, loose OE springs will be included. Bluetooth stereo, and speakers. This truck looks better in pics. The paint is a matte finish single stage enamel. The interior is a redcandy metalflake basecoat clearcoat. The pinstriping can be buffed off if you want to remove it. I used this truck as a hot rod, for cruising into shows and for picking up wheels for my business. It draws a ton of attention, almost too much for business. Negatives: lower front valance under front bumper is dented, gas gauge and speedo do not work. One ramp latch is missing, the other is very tough. The steering wheel needs restoration. Oil leak from rear main seal. Front tires less than 50%. Shifter boot missing. Few rust spots/scratches. Overall ive got a lot of time and money making this truck run reliably and safely. It looks cool enough for my taste, but i had planned on doing a spray in bedliner and restoring the steering wheel and cali mirrors. At this point i have a lot of projects and i need something with seats and seat belts for the kids. Im not interested in giving the truck away, i really dont need to sell. This truck is best for somebody who likes tinkering on corvairs and who likes to do restoration type stuff. I highly recommend driving and seeing the truck in person if possible.
