Chevrolet Corvette 1963 Description

Submitted for your consideration is this very solid/original '63 Corvette Stingray Riverside Red Convertible---------same female owner for over 33 years.Affluent Owner is downsizing collection. (Be sure to look for the immaculate '71 Corvette Coupe for sale in another auction).
EXTERIOR:Vehicle is in extremely good condition overall with no history of collision damage. All Body Panels are in good shape, with good panel alignmentand no known cracks to the fiberglass. Fit/finish is very good.Paint was originally white from factory, but repainted the very desireable "Riverside Red" by its previous owner over 33 years ago and has withstood the test of time quite nicely. In fact the only paint flaw observed is a paint chip on the right front fender. Paint brilliance is still very good for this example.INTERIOR:Original black interior is undamaged and in good shape having been cared for quite well by its owner(s). The Carpet at base of the door trim panels shows some minor paint fade consistent with other C2's of this vintage. It could easily (cost-effectively) be color-coded with marhyde to it's black original good quality.Odometer indicates "64, 206" and is over its mechanical limits making it 164k miles. Of some importance is that the current elderly owner has only put 17k miles on this car in the past 33 years. Carpet is in great shape for its age. Glovebox door has unexplained cosmetic scratches on it's face--------there when bought from prior owner. These too arereadily available for replacement if desired. The Tachometer needle is in place, but broken at base of stem. I'm told these are delicate and a common occourance. These too are also readily available.Black vinyl roof is in good shape exhibiting only minor wrinkles in top. Plastic back window is clear and does not have any cracks or splits in it. Very good shape overall.MECHANICAL:Current owner replaced the engine in the car shortly after it was purchased in favor of a 1963 Engine out of a station wagon with the belief it was a more solid performer. The replacement engine was rebuilt by current owner and is perfectly stock-appearing with no unusual noises, leaks, or performance issues.Transmission is stock original manual 4 speed that performs as it should.Tires are correct for this vehicle and purchased brand new. This car SOUNDS as good as it looks. It's quiet with the correct dual-exhaust sound ported at rear.
DOCUMENTATION:Owner will provide whatever documentation he has relative to their ownership. Please know the owner will expect buyer to sign a customary Buyer's Agreement Form with the usual "as-is/where-is" language before the vehicle is removed.
As with any used car, a test-drive is encouraged to reassure your investment. Vehicle is in the Franklin, TN and a test-drive/inspection can be coordinated with advance notice.
All known issues have been clearly stated to the best of our knowledge. As you look on eBay and elsewhere, you will see this is reasonably/competitively priced and will make someone an excellent car to own.Having looked at several of these historically, this has a true "survivor" patina about it making it among the best of its kind.Additional photos are available on request.
