Chevrolet Camaro 1980 Description

1980 CHEVROLET CAMARO Z-28 SURVIVOR!!!101K ORIGINAL MILES!!!!!
What a cool find to say the least!! Up for auction is this all original 1980 Z-28!! This car is the definition of survivor. All original paint and interior along with the numbers matching drivetrain!! The story is that the car was bought new in 1980 buy a lady for her son for graduation. The son immediatly went and got him self into some trouble and the car was taken away and locked in the garage. It sat for a few years and the mother who purchased the Z-28 for said son started driving it. She drove it up to about 98k and then she stopped driving either from age or health not sure. The car was always stored inside by the original owner and that is were it sat until it was discovered and was sold off a few years back . The next owner purchased the car at 98k and drove it sparingly to were it sits now at 101k. The car is how it came from the factory minus the aftermarket two knob stereo and alarm . The numbers matching LM-1 5.7/ 350 runs strong with no smoke or weird noises. The carburetor was replaced with a Holley spread bore some were along the way. The air induction is all intact. Still has the smog pump hooked up. The original transmission goes thru all the gears and shifts firm. Everything works as it should from the heater to the light, interior lights ect. The body is in excellent condition with no rust!!There are some small blems on the front bumper and one small crease in the lower rear quarter panel you can see in the pics. The paint is original and is 37yrs old!! That being said the clear coat is distortingand deterioratingin areas but over all shines up and has that right amount of patina that makes this survivor so cool and collectible!! Cant find them unmolested like this much anymore!! Most have been modifiedwith a big equalizermounted under the stereo, two big house speakers in the trunk, air shocks and some big tires in the back and don't forgetthe glass packs!! lol!!! We ran the car thru are shop and it runs and drives great for a 37 year old un restored car. People love it, I get compliments all the time about how cool it is . Just a cool affordable entry level collectorcar.
