Chevrolet Corvette 1962 Description

This is a LOW RESERVE auction for a 1962 Corvette that was built in early Jan. 1962. I purchased it approximately 5 years ago for just under $40k. Since I have owned it I have spent somewhere just under $20k improving it. This is your chance to profit from the money I have spent on it. Since I have owned it the following improvements have occurred. Freshly rebuilt correctly cast dated (late 1961) 327 cu. in. engine has been installed which has about 2,000.0 miles on it. Correct double hump rebuilt big valve 461 heads with again cast dates of late 1961 were installed on fresh engine. A new Holley 4 barrel carb is mounted on a correct RARE 340 horse intake. Engine has headers, n alternator and chrome Corvette valve covers. Freshly rebuilt BW T-10 4 speed tranny with hurst competition 4 speed shifter and a classic curved shift stick. 3:56 rear end. All of the front & rear bumpers were professionally rechromed in St. Louis. I have the complete front license plate assembly that goes with this vette & it is not on the car because I like the looks better without it. All of the grill surround chrome & eyebrow chrome has been freshly rechromed in St. Louis. The gold grill has been restored & refurbished. 2 new front park/turn signal housings & lenses have been installed. 4 new rear taillight housings & lenses have been installed. All new emblems front, ack & sides have been installed. New rocker panel mouldings are installed. New outside door handles. New outside rear view mirror. New wiper arms & blades. New carpeting & new large black C1 corvette floor mats from CC. Seats are newly upholstered with new springs & foam cushions. Instrument cluster has been freshly repainted with a newly rebuilt & restored speedometer by D&M gauges. All the other gauges have new lenses & bezels. New 17" black leather steering wheel with new horn cap. New heater blower motor. New sun visors. Correct short handle latches are installed on the soft & hardtop. New retro electronic Sun Tach is mounted in the speaker grill so it can be easily removed if preferred without damage other than new speaker grill required. New custom Autosound USA-630 AM/FM Stereo with 10 disc CD changer in trunk. 150 watt 6X9 Custom Autosound speaker in center and kick panels have 2 large round left and right speakers. Great sound without distortion at high volume levels if desired. Auction includes car cover. The paint job on this vette is NOT perfect and does have chips & flaws. Seller has clear title. For clarification the engine block and heads are not original to this vette. They were purchased by me with specific dates in mind to coincide with the approximate date they would have been originally cast in respect to the build date of this vette. This vette has not set undriven. It has been driven frequently since I have owned it as weather permits.

Some people have called me & asked me if my vette is "a numbers matching" corvette. NO it is NOT a "numbers Matching" Corvette. It has a non original motor, non original transmission & I believe a non original pumpkin/rearend/third member.NOTICE: Now that the reserve has been met I feel I should alert any "non winning" bidders that there is always the possibility that the "winning bidder" will not consummate the sale.
