Chevrolet Other Pickups 1958 Description

Reluctantly selling my 1958 Apache fleetside to a good owner.
She's 98 percent original patina someone along the way had primered a spot on the left back bed corner which I sanded back off and blended in. The rest was wet sanded buffed and sealed with Eastons Patina preserver. She has character dents and dings very little rust but has the usual places cab corners lower front fenders and above the window, floor boards are super solid. Rear bumper and brackets are new reproduction. Original western truck
Interior was wet sanded and clear coated, sound deadener under carpet, seat was reupholstered.New headliner, door seals, door hinge bushings that were wore. windows work well, vents open and close heater and defroster both work. Fan speed only works on hi, not sure what you would do with low.new glove compartment box dome light assembly key switch headlight switch steering wheel horn works.New Dolphin instrument cluster, speedometer is off, as is the gas gauge I have the kit for the float assemblyfor the gauge that I will include. vacuum wipers were replaced with a new electric conversion.
Suspension is Mustang II front end with disc brakes rear is camaro 10 bolt 3.42 gears with 4 inch lowered mono leaf springs and 2 inch drop shackles, when I purchased her she had the originalrear with an axle flip which set about 2 inches lower, the frame is notched so she can go down another 2 inches with a six inch drop monoleaf, rear is disc brakes also and the rear end was gone through before installation. rides stops and drives well
transmission is a three on the tree rebuilt overdrive unit. one area that still needs works I have replaced the wiring harness and most other parts it will shift if I jumper it but I have missed something also will need a bit of fabricating to hook up the kick down for the webers, this was my next project to get working and insatll 4.11 gears. Clutch and pressure plate were also replaced and I have a new oldstock aluminum flywheel I will also include
The engine like the rest of the truck is old school cool. 235 out of a 1958 car. freshened up 30,000 mile motor with a rebuilthead and hardened seals for unleaded fuel, runs strong. hei ignition, mini gear reduction. starter, alternator conversion, aluminum radiator, headers, glass bowl fuel pump and Clifford aluminum intake and dual Weber Carburetors. The carbs aren't quite dialed in has a off idle stumble.
Wheels and tires are also new from wheel vintiques, slight rub on the front if you turn to sharp mostly when backing up
Headlights tailights parking lights are all LED. You can see at night.
You kind of get the idea by now pretty much everything is new, she drives good and is trustworthy. Gas mileage is great, sounds better than a Harley. I was after old school and simple and dependable she's no LS hotrod if that's what your after.
Sorry about the poor pictures still too snowy here to get her out and about.
