Chevrolet Camaro 1969 Description

Up for auction is a 69 Camaro Convertible Big Block Project...Garnett Red with a Black Standard Interior and Black Top....This car has been sitting in someones heated basement for the past 25+ years which shows why it is as solid as it is. It is a NON matching project, Engine, Tranny and Rear do NOT match. Originally, Car was a Turbo 400 automatic car, but comes with all 4 speed equipment. That being said you do not see this come up for sale very often, expecially in this shape! As it sits it is approximately 85% complete, What does it need?
Body/Sheetmetal: Floors are original and some of the best I have seen, they still retain the Garnett Red overspray on them, no surface rust at all!. The underside looks to have been painted with some sort of durable enamel or epoxy that has helped to retain this condition. Trunk floor is nice as well. In my opinion, this car needs quarters and outer wheelhouses. Tail panel and Deck Lid are marginal. If i was going to keep and do the project I would replace both. Doors are good, have the usual bubble on the bottom, nothing major....all door hardware is present as well. Comes with repop fenders both pass and driver...header panel orig, orig lower valance...orig inner fenders. I will supply a Repop RAD Support as well. NO HOOD or GRILL....Outer cowl boxes need patching on bottoms..typical of these cars...Rockers are solid! This is a NON RS CAR, STANDARD..Missing the cocktail shakers. Convertible Top is in nice condition, no rips, tight seems, needs extensive cleaning, but will clean up nice...all accessories for top are there. Top is believed to be a mechanical Top.
Drivetrain: Car comes with a 396/350 JB code 272 block. Dated May of 69. Correct crank, heads, intake, oil pan, timing cover, balancer and water pump are present. Tranny is a M20 Muncie, rebuilt and ready to install, 621 Bellhousing is also present. Rear is only a 10 Bolt Roller (needs correct 12 Bolt) Has all correct hardware and springs to install in car, which I will do to aid in transporting the car. Its presently on a body cart. Comes with 5 SS wheels.
Interior: Comes with a complete original standard black interior, seats are orig and in driver shape, as well as door panels. Complete glass except windshield. Convertible Trim is there. Dash cluster looks OK, has speedo and fuel guage. Looks as if this car once was a console car with console guages. No console present. Alot of wiring is also present and included.
As I previously stated, you dont see Big Block projects for sale everyday. Here is your opportunity. This is a great start, solid convertible project Garnett Red with Black Interior. Car has been sitting a long time and is an extensive project. Ask questions, need different pics ask, Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction early. No warranties implied or expressed, Sold as is! Email me and I will contact you or give you my contact.. Transportation is buyers responsibility, Thank You and good luck!
