Chevrolet Suburban 1946 Description

For sale here I have my solid barn door 1946 Chevrolet Suburban project pulled from a barn in western Kansas. The old car collector I got it from said he purchased it from the grandson who had inherited it and tore it apart to start a restoration and lost interest. He had fiberglassed over the drivers side rear windows to convert it to a panel but luckily no damage was done other than losing the regulators and old glass for the drivers side rear. It has a clean and current Ks title that matches the body plate so engine swaps aren't an issue. Go to barnfindburb.shutterfly.com for 215 pictures of every inch of the suburban. It has the correct panel/suburban front doors on it that are rust free. The cowl, running boards and front floors are all rust free. The running boards are bent up some. The windshield frame looks to be in good shape other than the two screws on the exterior bottom. The windshield crank appears to be stripped out. The steering wheel is stuck on from a 1949 Chevy truck to move it around because I thought it would be better than vice grips. The rear doors are solid but the drivers side has some dents in it. The roof is pretty straight with a few small dents in the front. The tail panel was cut for a hitch and is bent up some. The rear fenders seem fairly solid and straight. The fronts aren't quite as nice. The upper and lower grille are bent some and the lower has a break in it. The front clip is missing the headlights, upper grille pan and front bumper with brackets. The hood and stainless strips are nice. The rear bumper is missing but the brackets are there. If I were to keep it I would probably look for a parts truck with a nice front clip. There is very minimal rust on the suburban mainly around the rear door hinges from the wood holding moisture. It has some bumps and bruises but nothing that can't be repaired. The frame is good and solid and it has the original knee action shocks on it. The 216 was supposedly rebuilt but has locked up from sitting improperly. It has new freeze plugs in it but I haven't opened it up to look at it. THE PARTS THAT I KNOW ARE MISSING ARE THE (seats, ds rear window regulators, front bumper with brackets, upper grille pan, engine parts, some glass, hubcaps, wiper motor cover, correct steering wheel, some small interior handles and rear bumper) THERE MAY BE SOME OTHER PARTS BUT THAT IS WHAT I NOTICED. I'm selling this suburban with no reserve and if it doesn't sell I'll entertain the idea of selling my 1937 Chevrolet half ton and building the Suburban into a family cruiser. All bidders are welcome and the parts will be stored inside it for transport. There's a $500 deposit due within 48 hours with full payment due in 7 days from auctions end. Thanks and good luck bidding.
I will be listing an original 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline Aerosedan for sale in the near future as well.
