Chevrolet K-10 1970 Description
This 1970 Chevrolet K10 is a 4x4 with a powerful V8 rendered in a slick modern paint. So it's the weekend friend that helps with the chores on Saturdays, hits the town in the evening, and then makes the scene at the Sunday car show truly the vintage ride that can do it all. That paint you're staring at isn't black...it's black cherry. That means it looks dark as midnight until the sunlight hits it, and then some deep red tones start to come out. It gives this restored Chevy the impression of a mean attitude with something extra thrown in, and that's exactly how you should view the whole pickup. Not only does the paint look nice, but the also the body is exceptionally straight, the trim is complete, and the chrome bumpers are mirror-like. Plus, you get plenty of extras like the buzzsaw-style American Racing wheels and bright side steps that make getting into this 4x4 a breeze. The nice mix of rugged and premium feelings continue when you open the door. Modern leather bucket seats that power adjust, and a center console make this a far more luxurious experience than anything the factory was putting out in the '70s. But you don't have to be afraid to get in with your work boots on thanks to the newer bowtie rubber mats. When you slip behind the wheel, you'll notice its Chevy's famous NK4 steering wheel that came from the '70s style-muscle cars. And while the gauges look clean and original, you're also treated to nice upgrades in the dash like the AM/FM/cassette stereo with CD changer. The cool presentation continues under the hood. This is a 400 cubic-inch V8 the largest small block that came from directly from Chevrolet during this era. But then again, it never looked this nice straight from GM. The block has been custom painted so it radiates color and power from the dark engine bay. Plus, there are bright blue wires that match the block, tidy hoses, and shiny air cleaner & valve covers to add even more distinction. But when you look beyond the shine, you'll see a motor that was built to run, too. The Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor feeds a performance aluminum intake. That provides plenty of additional power to give this pickup enough to surprise a few on the streets...that is if they don't hear the rumble of the dual exhaust first. The final piece to this well-executed custom package is the 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with B&M torque converter lockout. It's the perfect mix for you to dial in your power when you need it, while also being smooth enough for overdrive cruising. But more than just a big power package, you have the confidence of a true 4x4 with a two-speed transfer case, lifted suspension, and go-anywhere Goodyear wrangler M/T tires. Plus, the power steering and power brakes with disc up front are great anytime features. A vintage truck that was restored to turn heads on the street and trail, has some great all-around appeal. That's why we love this Chevy, and it's also why we know it's deal that will be leaving us quickly. Call now!!
