Chevrolet Suburban 1972 Description

NO RESERVE!

Up for sale is my very rare 1972 4x4 Chevrolet Suburban 3 Door. According to my research, ust over 3000 of these were produced and who knows how many are still around. I acquired this Suburban by way of a trade with a friend of mine. It was partially restored at that point, o I funded the remainder of the restoration. All of the work was completed by professionals in Colorado Springs.

Drivetrain:

NEW GM 350 crate motor with less than 100 miles. This 290 horsepower motor comes with a 1 year / 12,000 mile warranty that was just put in service on 2/20/16 (with documentation from Mr. Goodwrench) . The old engine was removed and the new one installed by K&K Chassis (the owner Larry used to build cars for Warren Johnson, ormer NHRA drag racing champion). New headers installed, s well as, n entire new exhaust system by Muffler Masters http://www.mufflerscoloradosprings.com/custom-exhaust/. The transmission appears to be original. It shifts as it should, o I just had the fluids and filter changed. It does a very slow leak, ut I think it because it hasn’t been driven much in the last few years. The 4x4 works fine – shifts into 4Hi and 4Low. It also has a slow leak.

Exterior:

This Suburban did have some rust issues, hich is pretty typical. The paint and body work was professionally completed by Terry’s Auto Works in Colorado Springs. Here is a link to his website so you can look at his quality of work: http://terrysautoworks.com/. Terry repaired all of the rust on the exterior. The entire Suburban was repainted, ven the door jams (original color – Hawaiian Blue / Ford Blue). He reinforced the underside where there were signs of rust, hen seam sealed and undercoated. New bumpers and grill were installed. All of the original trim pieces were cleaned and installed with new clips. New weather stripping and door latches were installed. All of the lights, linkers, urn signals, tc. work as they should. New bulbs throughout and new brake and backup lenses. The wipers are new and work properly. The washer bottle and wiper motor are not hooked up. All of the gauges are in proper working order.

Interior:

Seats from a late model Bronco were installed – two very comfortable chairs in front and matching bench seat in the back. New carpet andupholstery. Deluxe door panels with new arm rests. A new stereo (with fold down face CD player) was installed when I purchased it, ut it doesn’t have any speakers. The original dash is in good condition and has no cracks. The headliner is partially installed – the gentleman doing the work had an issue come up. He plans to have the work complete before the listing ends, ut if not, ll of the trim pieces, anels and fabric come with the truck. New visors. New beltline felt on all windows (inside and out).

Miscellaneous:

I purchased like new tires and wheels on Craigslist. New shocks on all four corners, ew stabilizer stock and new front leaf springs. The heater core was replaced – heat works as it should. All of the glass appears to be original with the exception of the windshield (it’s new with a new seal).
