Chevrolet Corvair 1966 Description
Selling a 1966 Chevrolet Corvair Monza. Auto trans. ATTN: Corvair lovers. Classic car people. This is a rare opportunity to get a very solid classic american sports car. This car has been sitting in storage and off the road since 1999. We took the fitted car cover off. had it flatbedded to my house. cleaned out the fuel tank. cleaned out the fuel lines. changed the oil and oil filter. put in a new battery. put in new fuel pump. put in new fuel and whoa. I got this for my son as his first car from a local older gentleman that had it for more than 20 something years. He gave me a old registration that showed last time on the road. This is a very very cool. rare find. I thought I was being a real cool dad. Wrong. We washed the car and put some air in the tires and now it sits. still under the car cover but now outside. We are going to sell it and use the money to get him what he wants instead of what DAD wants. VERY COMPLETE CARIt does not appear to have many things missing and seems to be very solid. I noticed the dome light lens and spare tire is missing. The car is incredibly complete. even has the original spare tire lug wrench and tool kit in the pouch. The undercarriage is very solid and looks like had undercoated many times over the years. years ago. Doors shut with a sound "THUD' and all the body lines are great. The chrome is great condition and windows all work/glass is good. Pass front fender does have a small dent as shown in photo. Even has the original antenna. The rear heater vents under the car even operate. The interior is very original but the seats will need redoing as the original fabric is cracked and if you sit on the vinyl. it cracks/splits due to age. has slip open. so we put on some seat covers over them. The headliner is separated where the seams sew together. but all the interior parts seem factory/original. even the radio. The odometer reads 44087 but unsure if that is accurate. but we really dont put big miles on cars here anyways so ??????? but can say for sure what the older gent put on or prior to him?? so I will say "TRUE MILEAGE UNKNOWN". All the lights work and the horn wants to sound but just cant get out a tune. The emergency brake works/holds. releases easy to my amazement but I think the brakes might need bleeding/servicing before you drive it. therefore I would highly recommend if you are the lucky bidder. you have it towed or put on a trailer to move home. I will help with the coordinating of the shipping if required. Also that means I am not offering any guarantees or warranty. We are selling as we bought it. AS IS. So I we welcome pre buy inspections from you or your designated source to come check it out (I'm sure that would ensure a definite higher priced sale) We also have many service manuals and parts material that will go with the car and all the extra keys. Any questions. fee free to ask. I think I have provided good enough photos for a accurate representation. Vehicle will come with a old registration (for validity of history) and a bill of sale. we have no title and NH does not issue any on older vehicles like this. However. if required I can get a official NH Vin verification document sheet filled out for you by a third for your registration or transfer. Good luck and hope you win. :)
