This 1963 Corvette Roadster is 1 of just 10,919 Convertibles built in 1963. Built on June 20, 963. Only 44,742 miles on odometer (believed original). Original Sebring Silver Corvette, hich was a RARE special order one year only color in 1963. It comes with the Convertible Soft Top AS WELL AS the optional Factory Hard Top. Accompanying this Corvette is a correctly produced and authentic appearing "Owners Protection Plan" Manual, ealers Invoice, etter from Chevrolet Motor Division and a crest which was sent to the new owner, lastic Corvette Owners Card and the Corvette Order form which itemizes all the options and RPO codes, nd documents this car as being a very RARE L84 327/360HP Corvette (1 of 2,610). Sold new by Norton Chevrolet in Philadelphia, A on July 25, 963 to Paul Weyton. It also has a Shipping and Data Report certificate from the NCRS Historical Society and of course its ORIGINAL Owners Operating Manual. There are many other documents and Original Automobilia Material included. Remarkably it includes the authentic signature of Zora Arkus-Duntov affectionately known as the "Father of the Corvette". 1963 was a big year for the Corvette and represents the first year of the notorious midyear Corvette legacy. Fresh new styling and among the most desirable of all Corvettes over the years, his 1963 convertible is a perfect driver that was restored approximately 25 years ago. Finished in Sebring Silver lacquer with black interior matching the factory trim tag, his Corvette carries both a black vinyl soft top as well as the optional silver hardtop. Knock off wheels enhance the appearance of this car, hile all chrome and stainless have been well maintained to create a nice appearance. A 327 cubic inch engine brings the appearance of a 340HP setup and is coupled to the rare and highly sought-after Muncie M20 4-speed manual transmission. Undercar exhaust provides a nice tone and adds to the drivability of this car. Spare tire carrier is present under the rear end. Interior maintains all of the hard to find 63 only parts such as gauge cluster, onsole, love box door, teering column and wheel. It has correct hoses and clamps and all the original minor bits and pieces in the engine compartment! 80lb Oil Pressure Gauge 6500-7000 RPM Red Line Tach Glass is all Original to the car including the front windshield and in perfect shape. The exterior paint is very presentable with excellent shine and depth. The Doors, ood and Headlight Bucket gaps all have an excellent fit. The Exterior Chrome, tainless and Emblems all have a very nice finish. The bumpers have been re-chromed, he exterior trim is all original and very nice. The Soft Top is in very nice condition, he Hardtop looks great. The Electric Headlight buckets go up and down effortlessly and the fit and gaps also line up nicely. This Corvette has a nice stance on period correct knock off wheels and whitewalls. The Interior is mostly original with the exception of the bucket seats which are replacement material. The center console and the door panels are original. The Dash Pads are in very nice shape. The back storage area is very nice, nd carpeting is very presentable. It still has a set of its Original Keys with the knock outs. The Gauges all work and are in original and unrestored condition. The Original AM/FM radio is present. The beautifully detailed Engine Compartment and chassis show pride of ownership and maintenance. It runs nice and cool, ven in stop and go traffic.
The 327/360 HP combination was the top dog and when you put your foot down it pulls like a thoroughbred wanting to go full out. It shifts effortlessly and smooth and firm. You don't even have to get close to 4000 RPM before you really are a uncomfortable with the acceleration it produces. This is a fine example of a very clean, idy and correct Stingray and it is a pleasure to own - getting thumbs up whenever its seen. This Corvette is ready for its next owner to drive, how and enjoy.
