It was sold at Art Houle Chevrolet in Espanola, New Mexico, delivered on January 20th, 1967. A one family owned vehicle, it would remain in New Mexico until January, 2016 when it was sold & brought here to Texas. This car has had quite a bit of restoration work done & much of it is still original. Recently it was gone over, fuilds checked, functionality of items checked, etc. before this Ebay listing. I'll detail in the description what I know along with the history. This is a solid rust-free entry level classic '67 Nova sedan in that great 66-7 Chevy II design. It will need some restoration work, but can be enjoyed, driven, and tinkered with as-is. Please look through the detailed presentation and feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you - Sam 972 748 6389 tele or email through Ebay. View my 100% positive feedback as an Ebay Motors seller and bid with 100% confidence. FROM THE OWNER'S DESK "This 1967 Chevrolet II Nova was restored 9-years ago for the owner's niece to take to college. The original engine and transmission were rebuilt at that time, new bumpers, new windshield, new tail lights, new trim, etc. were installed. Even the accents on the hubcaps were painted pink for her. But after the restoration, the niece decided against the Nova and opted for a different vehicle. So the Nova was driven with regularity for a few years and then stored. She was originally purchased from Art Houle Chevrolet in Espanola, New Mexico. I have the Chevrolet Protect-O-Plate that authenticates this. It has been a New Mexico vehicle all of her life, owned by members of the same family since new. In January 2016, the vehicle was purchased and brought to Texas where it has been kept as part of a private collection and only recently titled in Texas. She runs and drives really good. All the lights, turn signals, wipers, gauges and radio all work, including the horn & dimmer switch. The paint is not of show quality as there are a very minor few dings and scratches, but nothing major. The car has a great shine and plenty of eye appeal. The engine starts right up and the transmission shifts smoothly. It has the original AM radio and a newer AM/FM CD player unit mounted just under the dash. A solid and rust free vehicle. It does need some suspension work on the front end." The car was originally Granada Gold & Capri Cream according to the trim plate. It is now Tuxedo black. The body panels are straight and true. The doors, hood, and trunk line up as they should. The bumpers were previously rechromed and show well. The windshield has been replaced along with the tail lights. All of the lights, turn signals, etc are functional. The horn is not working. Excepts from HowStuffWorks & Wikipedia about the 1967 Nova model - This body style, for this second generation (1966&1967) Chevrolet II, introduced an extensive sharp-edged restyle based in part on the SuperNova concept car. In general, proportions were squared up but dimensions and features changed little. The 1967 Chevy II, with Nova being an upgrade trim, received nothing more than a touch-up after a restyling for 1966. The Nova officially was still called the Chevy II Nova. "Humped" fenders in an angular rear end were reminiscent of larger 1966 Chevrolets, though the 1966 Chevy II and Nova had vertical taillights and single headlights. The safety steering wheel, soft interior parts such as armrests and sun visors, recessed instrument panel knobs, and front shoulder belt anchors, were included These models carried significant improvements in the area of safety equipment. A government-mandated energy-absorbing steering column and in all 1967 models. The interior is in good condition. The upholstery shows some age, but very decent, See photos. The dash displays the original speedometer cluster, controls, dials, and the original AM radio. The door panels & headliner are intact. The horn, turn signals, wipers, and lights work along with the radio mounted underdash (original still in place too). Under the hood is the optional 250 cubic inch 155 horsepower inline-6, the L-22 "Big Six", new engine option for 1967. This powerplant was previously rebuilt and runs quite well. Be sure to play the video. The transmission is the optional two-speed powerglide which shifts good in all gears. The firewall, inner fenders, and core support are excellent original sheetmetal. Again, this has always been a dry climate car. The original trim identification plate is in place along with the original VIN plate. The door undersides are excellent. This is a New Mexico car and is extremely solid and original bodywise and flooring. The undercarriage displays excellent original flooring front to back. The inner quarters, rocker panels, inner fenders, etc are solid and original. The suspension appears to be mostly original and is need of a basic front end rebuild. The bushings are showing their age. The car drives good but clunks when you turn over bumps and whatnot, see the video. Really just displayed solid original and original underneath. The 10-bolt rear end is quiet going down the road, and the exhaust is in good shape. The trunk is also original and solid. Aftermarket Rubber Nova mats included. Enjoy the rest of the photos and again feel free to email or phone me with any questions. I might add a buy it now price at any time, this car is priced to sell. It is titled here in Texas, clear title. I can assist in shipping and inspections can be arranged by appointment if you find yourself in the Dallas, Texas area. Let me know. Thanks and good luck in the auction. - SamBeing as it was built for a lady, a touch of pink wasn't a bad thing, only on the SS wheel covers though.
