Chevrolet Corvette 1970 Description
This Vette is not a matching numbers car (read below). It is up and running and driving around just fine. but might need a tune-up to really get things perfect. I bought the Corvette as my first car around 2001 as a car that ran in good condition with only minor maintenance needed and a bit cosmetic. At the time it had an estimated 80. 00 or so miles on it but as with most of these Vettes the odometer was broken upon purchase. so I can't say for sure. I drove it around for the next two years and fixed a few things on it and kept it running very well - it was my every day driving car. Soon after purchase we had a newly rebuilt engine put in it. then shortly after I took off for college out of state and had to park the Corvette in San Diego on the side of the family house. in the shade and covered. We kept it running by turning it on once or twice a month for the next 11 years or so while I lived out of state. The car had not trouble running the entire time it was stored and started up every time without trouble. I recently moved back into town and wanted to get the car back on the road. All it needed to get up and running again was a new fuel line. some other hoses. and new brakes. Again - it can use a full tune-up to get things perfect. After moving out from the family house. I do not currently have a place to store and work on it and is the reason why I am choosing to sell it. The car does run well. The shop said the carburetor needs some tweaking as well. The vacuum line works. but one headlight is not popping up and could be due to a disconnected hose. but I have not dug in there to figure it out. It will need tires. and paint if you want it looking perfect. The interior seats are in great shape. the interior door panels have some wear. This is a great car for someone who knows how to tweak things and do minor things here and there. It wont take much to get this car in really good shape. It looks great out there on the road. especially with the t-tops and back window off. plus it sounds great as well. I will miss this car a lot.
