Chevrolet Blazer 1986 Description

If you are looking for the perfect K5 to upgrade for mudding, offroad, rock crawling, or just for fun..........then here she is. Very little rust in just a few small spots, easily fixed now. Runs, starts, stops, and cruises great! Less than 45,000 miles but I drive it daily, so that could change.
Outstanding condition, very few spots of rust (more pics available upon request), brakes good, tranny good, tires good, new wiper arm and blades, comes with pair of civilian doors that have power windows and chrome mirrors. Replaced all the rubber fuel lines between the fuel tank and the engine, new glow plugs, new fuel filter. Pintle hitch has been upgraded to a combination pintle - ball hitch. Original military wiring is still in place but a flat 4 prong trailer plug has been added so accomodate standard civilian trailers. Hitch has been lowered 4" to 5" to lower the trailer tongue, so trailer isn't being pulled at such a high angle. Glass and mirrors are all good. Paint is showing some wear. Small rip in driver's seat. Dash pad is cracked and deteriorated from the sun. If you enlarge the 1st photo, you'll see that there is a small gash and dent in the driver's side door. I didn't fix it because I was planning to put the other set of doors (excellent condition) on the truck. No pictures of the spare doors as they are packed away in storage right now. I can dig them out for pics if it's a deal killer to not see them, but it could take a couple of days to get them photo'd. They are in great shape (metal, hardware, glass) but you'll probably not use the blue.gray interior door covers, which show wear.
This CUCV was evidently used by someone important in the military because the tailgate works perfectly with no dents. (Many of the tailgates used by the troops show heavy use and are dented in from throwing heavy stuff in the back or two or three men with full body armor and gear sitting on the tailgate.) Faded stenciled lettering indicates the vehicle number was "HQ03", which might suggest that someone from "headquarters" had their claim on this one. This vehicle is extremely dependable could be driven anywhere..........simply jump in, start her up, and head down the road a couple thousand miles before the next oil change. Cruises down the interstate perfectly at 75 mph and will dig through just about any degree of mud and or snow in 4 wheel drive. There are no problems, no mechanical issues, no defects other than the minor issues mentioned. Fly into the Rockford, Illinois airport (about 3 miles from my house), I'll pick you up, we'll load up the spare set of doors, and you can drive it home. Clean Illinois title and current registration.
Buy-It-Now-Price is $7,995.00. I had this listed "auction-style" and then CXL'd the listing before any bids were submitted. There are now 12 pics attached to this updated listing, including pics of the engine compartment.........which I did not have with the previous listing. There is a "Make Offer" option on this listing, but I am not going to give the truck away. So if you want to make an offer, GREAT! I won't be offended by any offers as long as you aren't offended when the low-ball's are promptly declined. Vehicle comes with a few small extra parts (antenna mount, original pintle hitch, old glow plug solenoid, etc.) which were removed or replaced since I've owned this. It also has a good spare tire, and the hand jack for tire change. I'm in the process of making a beverage holder out of a metal 30 cal. ammo container. Also installing a radio, again mounted in a 30 cal ammo container........which kind of matches the look of the vehicle. (This may or may not be completed or included by the time the vehicle sells.) More pics available if you want to see something specific. Can get pics of the rust areas if you want close-ups.......just send me a request. Only get 12 pics on a standard eBay listing without an upcharge.) Thanks for your interest.........and may God bless!
