Chevrolet Other 1965 Description

I am offering for sale my 1965 Chevrolet Biscayne 4 door sedan. Why a four door? Because you can ride six adults in comfort. and still blow away Mustangs. Camaros. and whatever the Dodge flavor of the day is. You can also cruise in air conditioned comfort at highway speeds while turning just 1. 00 RPM. If burnouts and doughnuts are your thing it'll do them too. I bought this car on eBay in 2012 as a 6 cylinder. 3 speed on the column. family sedan. Turned out the paint job was very amateurish and the interior was half ass. I had it repainted 2004 GMC Bright Silver Birch and it's now a decent 10 footer. I replaced the carpet. door welting. sunvisors. and headliner. I also replaced the windshield. door seals. and some window and door components. The tail lights. front parking lights. license plate lights. front. rear. and side emblems were also replaced. The windows were tinted a legal shade. An under-the-dash air conditioner. auxiliary gauges. tachometer. and an aftermarket in-the-dash radio with a dual cone speaker. were also added. All this was done to get it presentable as a weekend cruiser. The second order of business was to upgrade the suspension. brakes. and steering. Everything involved with these systems was either rebuilt or replaced. The differential was swapped out for a GM 12 bolt with an Eaton positraction unit and 4. 11 gears. The brakes were upgraded to disc brakes on all 4 corners. and the master cylinder was upgraded to a dual unit with power booster. Sway bars were added front and rear and the steering box was changed out for a power steering unit. Brake lines and fuel lines were also upgraded. and a new fuel tank was installed. The wheels are 17 inchers with 8 inch width in front and 9 inches in the back. The first couple of years I made do with a 350 and a Muncie four speed transmission. However. for 2014. and our annual Crusin-The-Coast event. I built and installed a 383 stroked Vortec SBC with an Eagle rotating assembly. It also received a custom grind Comp Cams camshaft. along with the Comp Cams complete valve train assembly. Also installed was a MSD distributor. nbsp;an Edelbrock air-gap intake. Holley carburetor. roller rockers. and everything else it took to make it as new. powerful. nbsp;and as strong as I could. HP is estimated at 420-450. It is fed through an electric fuel pump. The radiator is a custom aluminum unit with a shrouded electric fan. All accessory brackets are billet aluminum. The headers are long tube wrapped. with 2. 5" pipes feeding through Thrush mufflers. It's backed up with a built T56 six speed transmission from a 1997 Camaro. A new HP clutch and pressure plate were also installed. Like any car of this age and nature it has a few negatives. Rust is minimal with a small bubble on the left rear door and right front door (see pictures). A previous owner did a repair in the right front foot well (see picture); the rest of the floors and trunk are rust free. The speedometer isn't hooked up as it is mechanical and not compatible with the electronic output of the T56 transmission. There are several aftermarket solutions that will make them work together. The dash lights are very dim. and the right side turn signal and brake light is not working. The trunk. although solid and clean. is bare and could use a custom finishing out. I've tried to give a complete and honest description of my Biscayne. but have probably forgotten something. Please post any questions and I will respond as soon as possible. Good luck. and good bidding.
