Chevrolet Corvette 1973 Description

White · 8 Cylinder · 79,800 miles Beautifully restored 1973 Corvette Stingray Convertible. VIN #1Z67J3S400396 This car has been completely dis-assembled and rebuilt. This is a near complete restoration. Has ~80K miles on odometer. ~800 miles after rebuild restoration. The engine, transmission, exhaust manifolds, rear end and rear leaf springs have been rebuilt. The rebuild of these major components required the replacement of smaller items such as clips, brake lines, hoses and any other parts that wear out, such as brake pads, body mounts etc… The most recent work includes; New: Edelbrock 600 CFM electric choke carburetor, power steering conversion kit, tri-point seat belts with dual retractors (best made), upper control arm bushing's, rear main seal, fuel pump gasket, oil pan gasket, timing cover gasket, front seal, valve covers & gaskets and new transmission pan; purple gear oil, Mallory HEI ignition and exhaust. To add a little power to the 8-cyl. 350cid/190hp 4bbl in this car, an Elderbrock 600 CFM electric choke 4 barrel carbonator with a matching Eliminator intake manifold and Cam was added. The Cam has a slight lift but not a lobe. Idles beautifully at the light and is very responsive at takeoff. Estimated Horsepower is somewhere in the very low 300 H.P. range. This Vette has a nice rumble but not loud and obnoxious. She has a beautiful 4 year old paint job, new interior, new convertible top. Many other wearable parts have also been replaced. The car does not rattle or creek like some older Corvettes. The rear leaf spring has been reworked with new leafs added or replaced. The engine also has a new Mallory HEI ignition. The drive train is all matching numbers. All of the new parts have not been listed because they are so numerous. This 1973 Corvette Stingray convertible is certainly one to consider. It is #396 out 4,943 convertibles that were built in 1973. At 43 years old this Vette is in great condition for its age and is faster than the original. It was originally a blue car but was converted to GM bright white with the rebuild. The paint is gorgeous. There is a small flaw at the top of the fuel cap cover. The spring for the fuel cover door had not been put on yet and was opened scratching the paint. It was repainted but is noticeable. I have a folder of receipts that document the majority of the work. The car also comes with an aftermarket shop manual, original owner’s manual and the 1973 Corvette sales brochure. Acceptable terms of payment are cash, cashier’s check or wire transfer to my bank account. The title is clear. There is no warranty of any kind implied or offered on this car. The sale is final. Again, this car is a restoration. There may be an adjustment here and there to your liking. These are some of the most difficult cars to restore (and expensive). Checked Haggerty's website for pricing. It is very well priced. Thanks for looking!
