This is a 1953 Chevy 3100 5-window pickup Professionally built and assembled at a cost of over $100. 0 . It's totally road functional and exciting to drive making this truck special. not just another trailer queen. It's color is Corvette Marlboro Maroon and has proven to be a show . It's all steel. so no repro fiberglass. and build quality was attained using proven professionals and top of the line vendors. The attention to detail is obvious everywhere you look. from the deep finish that was hand sanded and buffed to a brilliant shine. to the chrome and trim. all of which remains right where Chevy put it. New wood in the bed is beautifully finished and it offers traditional touches like blue dot taillights and a chrome rear bumper for a finished look. Inside. all stock interior was replaced by comfortable bucket seats wrapped in tan leather with custom alligator skin inserts. A wide center console was custom fabricated just for this truck. then fitted with cup holders. A/C vents. twin 12V power points. and a B&M shifter for the 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. The dash itself remains factory. with the original gauges upgraded from Classic Instruments. The steering column is fitted with a Grant steering wheel that really gives the interior an upscale feel. Sound comes via an AM/FM/CD stereo system that's integrated into the interior along with Vintage Air A/C System. The motor is a Corvette LT1 powerplant ( Corvette C-7’s 6. 2 Liter Small block V-8) reliable and powerful ( rated at 450HP and 450 ft-lb Torque) it's the right combination for a vehicle that's intended to see a lot of drive time on the street. The motor has been customized with chrome valve covers. billet accessory drive. and color-matched fuel rail covers on the engine itself. The firewall and inner fenders have been smoothed and finished to the same high standards as the rest of the body. Underneath. the front suspension is a Mustang II setup with tubular A-arms and coil-overs. while a 4-link out back hangs a Ford 9-inch with 3. 50 gears inside. The frame has been boxed for both durability and appearance. and the ceramic-coated exhaust system uses Flowmaster mufflers for the right sound. Classic Torque Thrusts with 215/60/15 front and 235/60/15 rear BFG radials complete the overall appearance.
