Chevrolet C-10 1972 Description
I have up for auction is a 1972 Chevrolet C10 truck. It is 2wd with a automatic Th350 trans. The motor the original stock 350. The truck is a long bed,but has a rare option with leaf springs. The truck is showing 89500 miles. I believe this to be original. When I purchased the truck 10 years ago. It had a lot of the factory GM hoses, belts. No odd wear in the interior. .The truck is equipped with Factory power front disc brakes and power steering, The motor is a stock 350 with factory 4bbl rochester carb. Stock heat controlled air cleaner. Stock Ram Horn exhaust. GM 12 bolt rear end with possi and 3.07 gear. About 10 years ago, I had dual exhaust with flowmaster style mufflers installed. The interior has factory seat with old western cover, Rubber mat (old)and white door panels and visors in great shape. Dash board is starting to show a couple of cracks. All gauges work.Steel bed with light surface rust.
Over the past 8 years. I have done regular maintinence and replace parts because of age and to make it reliable for a long drive from Eastern Washington to Northern California. The list of things,
GM HEI distributorHeater Core and fanBelts,All heater hoses and T-stat.Calipers,wheel cylinders and brakes.Center support bearing. (rubber was dry and cracked on old one.) u-joints.Carb rebuild.
Recent things in the past year or so I have done is,Aluminum Radiator.(old one started leaking)B&M Aluminum finned diff cover.New front tires and alignment.Starter,Alternator and voltage regulator.
For 4 years the truck has been sitting in my garage covered in Sacramento. I maybe put 500 miles on it in those 4 years. 2012-2016.
The truck runs great and everything in the truck works, and has no issues that I can think of. In spring of 2016. I drove it down to So-Cal for my retired uncle drive till the fall. Then drove back up to No-Cal.
The cons with the truck are, Rust on the cab corners and rockers. (Normal for these trucks) I have new ones that I may include for the right price. Paint is original with surface rust in some places. Photos will show. Steering wheel has cracks. Speedo bounces around after 60mph every now and then.
I have a current Washington Title with collector plates on the truck. Registration is lifetime in Washington. No yearly fees. I also have many more photos of under and inside that I could email upon request.
I you have any questions, feel free to contact me by text, email or call?
