Chevrolet C-10 1968 Description
1968 Lambrecht Chevrolet C10 PickUpLot 53L from World Famous Lambrecht Auction in Pierce. Nebraska on Sept 28th. 2013I won this truck via an online bid and was on the road when the actual bidding occured. I was just 20 minutes late on seeing the Simulcast Live Bidding televised. The Lambrecht Auction was featured on the History Channel and the US Top Gear crew reported live from the auction site for 3 days. 15. 00 people showed up from all over the world to see this event. This truck was sold on the first day of bidding. I am probably going to regret selling this truck for the the next 10-20 years after it leaves my garage. but I need to sell this truck. This C10 was one of Ray's trade-ins and it sat in the forest outside of Pierce. Nebraska since 1984 or so. The patina is pretty awesome. It looks like it may have sat under some trees as the hood is scratched and worn in a semi circular pattern. The is still moss and lichen in places. I am the 4th owner. It was owned by a lumber company from Omaha. My plans were to paint in weathered letters on the doors Lambrecht Chevrolet Parts Dept. . and "It Pays to See Ray' on the tailgate. Keep it as is and have a Lambrecht Rat Rod. Ebay Auction is for the Truck ONLY as is. where is. as you see here in the photos. Includes complete VanderBrink auction documentation. a bidder ballot and brochure. This auction also includes the one-of-a-kind Historic Lambrecht Sticker given only to auction winners. It will be your choice on where to put it. Please see my other ebay auctions for all the additional parts that I purchased for this project. The truck will need the following repaired or replaced. Seat is dried and torn and will need a blanket or new upholstery. Field mice made a nest inside the glovebox and under the seat so it has a lovely circa 1993 vintage urine smell. Right Inner Wheel Well has rust on the front edgeThe Battery Tray is missingPassenger lower fender needs a patch panel up frontRadiator Support is rusted through along the bottom edgeR + L Cab Corners are rusted throughDrivers Floor Sill is rusted about 4 inches inboardL+R Rocker Panels are rustedDoor Rubber is all cracked and peeledCowl to Hood Rubber is missingDoor Handles are non functionalWindows do not roll downOutside mirrors are broken but intactWood Bed is rotted completelyAll glass is intact with no breaks or cracksAll lights and turn signals are intactI am not sure what size the V8 motor is. One of the owners replaced the original 6 (according to the VIN) and installed this motor. They mounted it in the rear most holes making it impossible to see the casting numbers. The motor crank turns by hand. The transmission shifts through the gears with the clutch. Tires do not hold air. truck will need to be towed via flatbed or trailer. There is no radiator. I have a set a rough sawn maple boards. cut to size (length wise) that will go with truck. Please search for my video of Lambrecht Chevrolet 1968 C10: Field to Garage of me and my buddy retrieving the truck from Nebraska and towing it back to MD via Woodward Avenue.
