Chevrolet Other Pickups 1982 Description

Step right up! This is an unusual machine! Runs good, rives fine (considering her age), eady to go to work. Engine fires right up, ven without a functioning glow plug system, ndicating good compression. Four wheel drive works flawlessly. Obviously, he needs some cosmetic work, oth interior and exterior, ut this unit is mechanically ready to run. She's a Texas machine, nd thus has minimal rust. Note the frame pics showing minimal surface rust, specially for a 34 year old machine!
Reserve Price is $3K. Any diesel freak will tell you she's well worth it.
  • She does need the glow plug system to be troubleshot. Probably needs plugs and maybe relays. This is not currently inhibiting the truck running at all.
  • Clutch is getting a little weak and will need to be replaced in the next few months. AutoZone currently offers a complete clutch kit for $104 (AutoZone part numberNU31139).
  • Steering column is a little loose. Likely the bracket under the dash needs to be tightened.
  • Starter takes a few turns of the key before it catches and spins over the engine. I have replaced the starter and the ignition, o it is likely a wire connection issue.
  • Small oil leak, s is usual for a machine of this age.
  • I believe the mileage is accurate, ut I cannot guarantee it. The doors close smooth and easy, nd overall the body seems pretty tight, ndicative of relatively lower milage machine.
Good stuff:
  • Good all terrain tread all around.
  • Ready for inspection.
  • Solid, eliable engine (Isuzu engines are quality built and time tested).
  • Ready for work or to hit the trail.
  • She'd make a great farm truck.
  • Doesn't burn oil.
  • Gets around 35 mpg.
  • The body is pretty darn straight and begging for a paint job!
  • Doors close easily and smooth. No sagging hinges and such.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions at all. I am also trying to sell this truck locally and reserve to the right to end the auction at any time. Good luck!
