Chevrolet Nova 1967 Description

If light weight and big horsepower appeals to your sense of performance, don't miss this 1967 Chevrolet Nova, which is an ideal cruise and show vehicle that you can enjoy immediately with no tinkering, no extra work required. It also packs a 400-inch small block and a great color combination that will always look right. And as a bonus, this is a real code 16 Chevy II 400 with a V8, so it's got the right street cred.Finished in simple Ermine White, this handsome Nova hardtop boasts an arrow-straight body with incredibly crisp detailing. Fully restored just a few years ago from a solid southern car, it's still a great driver that will do you proud at the local cruise night and on the street where the neon lights flash across its slick skin. Gaps are uniform throughout, and with that relief line running from front to back it's just about impossible to hide misaligned panels. The clean Nova bodywork is a great example of GM's "less is more" philosophy in the late 1960s, and the limited trim combined with a sleek hardtop profile makes for a very subtle cruiser that speaks softly and carries a big V8 stick. Correct 'Super Sport' badges have been installed, as well as a cowl-induction, which all tie in with the Nova's performance attitude. Bright trim along the rockers has been fully restored, along with the bright chrome bumpers that still look great. Originally equipped with a code 735 standard blue interior, this Nova now wears a two-tone red and black interior that looks built for combat. The high-back buckets are far more aggressive than the original chairs, and it's nice to see they went the extra mile to upholster the rear seat and door panels to match. A custom B&M shifter takes the place of the original column unit and the factory instruments are joined by a big tach neatly installed in the center of the dash where the radio used to live. It appears that the chrome and trim inside are original and in good shape for being almost five decades old, but you'll be grinning too much to even notice after you turn the key. For purists, you'll find a spatter-finished trunk with no bad secrets lurking underneath, which is always critical on a car built to go fast. The cowl tag says this car came with a V8, and that's what you'll find under the hood in the form of a 400 cubic inch small block, fully rebuilt and ready to rock. It's a '70s block with upgrades like an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold and 4-barrel carburetor, an upgraded camshaft and deep-breathing heads, it runs reliably on pump gas, yet makes horsepower to rival the vaunted and incredibly L79. Bright Chevy Orange paint on the block tells you that it has been rebuilt recently, and a few chrome and aluminum dress-up items make it look right. The engine bay is neatly detailed and the white paint really makes the engine stand out nicely. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission and a 10-bolt rear end highlight a tidy undercarriage where the suspension has been upgraded with big sway bars, the floors are clean, and the Flowmaster exhaust system is recent. For a modern look, it rolls on a set of 17-inch Torque Thrust wheels wearing 225/45/17 BFGoodrich G-Force Sport radials.Fast and clean, this handsome Nova is a brilliant way to have fun on four wheels. And just imagine the fun of pulling this one out of the garage on a Friday night, ready to rumble. Call today!
