Unrestored and Superbly Well Preserved, a True Survivor! This is a stunning '61 Vett with an extremely rare color combination, low miles, matching numbers and pristine/unrestored condition! According to the GM Heritage Center Report, page # 37... "In 1961. Seventeen Corvettes were painted a non-standard color combination. or primer." Based on its unique color combination, this Corvette is believed to be the only one out of those seventeen, painted with Ermine white body, Jewel blue coves and matched with a blue Interior, white soft top, and white hardtop.
It has been under the same ownership since 1984 and no expense has been spared in the preservation of this rare beauty. Strategically reconditioned to avoid a full-blown restoration. Only essential components have been restored or replaced to ensure a healthy and safe performance.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. possibly a new dash pad and seat covers?
A. Due to the gently worn seat covers, dash pad, door panels and vinyl top, no dyes or fillers were needed to recondition the vinyl and leather areas. Instead, a meticulous process involving natural products such as saddle soap, white vinegar, Shea butter, orange oil, olive oil, and beeswax was utilized for the reconditioning.
Q. It appears to be missing the shielding
A. I have the original ignition shield, I just forgot to install it back on for the pictures.
Q. appears to have had a paint work... Any evidence of it ever being hit/repaired?
A. The car was meticulously inspected by a car appraiser and found NO traces of fractures, damages or bodywork. The car has not been painted, just paint-reconditioned.
Q. Is it original paint? If so, how's it holding up?
A. Believed to be the original paint! It underwent an extensive reconditioning process last month and the results are stunning! The painstaking process consisted of four major steps:
• First; carefully removing all paint impurities (oxidation, grime, and wax) with clay or ultrafine compound as needed.
• Next; multiple layers of hydration with natural oils, to recondition and fortify the paint.
• Following; a super mild paint stimulant was applied to give the paint more elasticity and soften the stress marks.
• Afterward; a glaze sealant was applied to prevent further erosion
• Finally; multiple layers of wax were used to give the paint back its shine.
Q. can you provide your proof of the factory jewel blue-coves?
A. No records exist
Q. Are you the owner or are you selling for someone?
A. For sale by owner! I bought it from the original owner in 1984 and the car has been under my care and ownership for the past 33-years.
Q. How much do you know about the car prior to current ownership? Any documentation?
A. Not much information or documentation is available from the original owner
Q. what paint flaws?
A. Although major stress marks are softened and small scratches are completely gone after the paint reconditioning, some undertones are still visible to the trained eye. In addition, a decision was made not to touch up any of the small chips or slightly faded areas throughout. These little imperfections give the car lots of character and attest to its journey as a true survivor...
Q. If you were to list what the car needs, what would be the next few things to address?
A. Mechanically; the car has a flawless performance and no immediate service or repairs are needed
Aesthetically; the car has a strikingly beautiful stance, that can be best appreciated by purist collectors. If the next owner is bothered by the character trades and paint imperfections on the car, I guess a new paint job may be the only thing that is "needed"
Q. Does the engine block stamp match the VIN? what about transmission and differential - are they original to the car, or is there a way to tell?
A. YES! All serial numbers on major components have been extensively researched and verified. They all appear to be period correct and corresponding to the VIN of this car. Stamps are hard to counterfeit, as obvious signs of tampering would be visible on any replaced parts.
Q. What kind of trade deals are you willing to consider?
A. I am willing to trade for another classic car of similar value - no projects, please! I am also open to partial trades plus cash on either end.
Q. Do you have any information on the numbers for the transmission and rear end.
A. The transmission has a factory Axle Ratio of 3.70:1 and a Positraction Axle Ratio rated at 3.70,4.11,4.56. The rear end (Differential) has a factory semi-floating overhung pinion gear, spicer limited slip with dual 4-disk clutches applied by reaction torque through differential side gears.
Q. How much work has been done on the underside with respect to bushings and bearings etc related to the front end?
A. Bushing, bearings, and shocks were all serviced or replaced (as needed) a few years ago and their current condition is excellent. The undercarriage has never been painted, but it was detailed and then treated with a rust inhibitor to prevent erosion.
