Chevrolet Camaro 1969 Description

This car has been in the family since 1981 (my Father bought the car).It was driven regularly through the early ‘80s, but has basically been garaged since 1986 and driven just a few tens of mile per year since then. While I really like this car, I think the time has come to pass it on to someone that will appreciate it and care for it in a way that I just haven’t been able to.

Some particulars:

    • 350 cu in V8 (L65), 250 HP
    • 4 speed Saginaw transmission
    • Style Trim Group
    • Black Deluxe Interior
    • Power Steering
    • Manual top/windows
    • Console
    • Rally wheels

Original drive train (matching numbers) — the partial VINs stamped on engine and transmission match the car’s VIN. As far as I know, the rear axel does not have a partial VIN, but the codes stamped on the axel are consistent with the rest of the car. I have done my best to photograph the numbers. This was the fantastic website I used to find where the number are and what they mean: http://www.camaros.org/drivetrain.shtml

Runs well. Easy to start.

It’s a convertible!

Really fun to drive!

The car has a new water pump, starter, and brakes.

Original Interior (the front-seat upholstery and carpeting are rough).

The car doesn’t have any mechanical issues that I’m aware of. As can be seen in the photos, the paint has chips, and there is rust around the rear wheel wells (common in these cars). There is also rust in the trunk (rusted through in spots). The top is functional, but showing its age (the top is not original). The header above the windshield needs to be replaced.

The odometer reads about 11k miles. Assuming the mileage was correct when we bought the car (which I have no reason to doubt), it has about 111,000 miles (I was driving when the odometer turned over at 100,000 miles).

I have the Service Manual, Fisher Body Manual, and original Owner’s Manual for this car. I will include these with the sale.

I have new old stock rocker panel trim that has not been put on the car (the original trim is still on the car). I can send a photo if you are interested. I’ll include these with the car.

If you have any questions or want additional photos, please ask and I’ll do my best to answer. The car is sold as-is.

$500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of close of auction. The remainder in cash or bank check must be paid within 7 days and before delivery/pickup. The buyer is responsible for shipping costs. The car has current MA state inspection, so if you want to pick it up (in central Massachusetts), you could drive it away.
