Chevrolet Fleetline Aero 2-Door Sedan 1948 Description
I have for sale a very nice 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline Aero 2-door Sedan. This '48 fastback is in great shape and is striking with its 2-tone Maple Brown and Sport Beige paint. The body of the car is in excellent shape and the paint has good shine. The paint does have a nick or chip here and there, but is very presentable as you can see in the photos. The 6 cylinder sounds and runs well and the trans shifts well. The car starts right up and the choke works. The underside is very solid. The inner rockers and body mounts are in good shape. The metal in this one is very good. The chrome bumpers are brand new as are the correct hubcaps. The wide whites really set off the look and are in good condition. All of the glass is very clear except the rear window has a few scratches. A new flat glass would be about $100. The stainless is also good and all there. Nice hood correct ornament. The incorrect scallops on the hood could be easily removed by removing the nuts inside the hood. The headlight bezels, glass trim, and taillight chrome trim are pretty nice also. Visually, a great looking car. The interior has been redone and looks nice. The seats are very comfortable and the rear seat area has loads of room. I'm 6'4" 260 lbs, and I have plenty of room in the back. Nice redone headliner and door panels. The dash is in decent shape and the carpet is also good. All of the windows operate. The door locks work with the key, as does the trunk hatch. Speedometer and odometer work. Glove box door opens and stays shut. Fresh air vent works. Choke works. The heater and defroster and fan work. Oil pressure ga and battery ga work. Fuel ga works. Jack and spare in trunk. The doors open and shut well with no sagging. The trunk opens and shuts well as does the hood. Headlights work. Taillights work. Brake lights work. The following are not currently working: Radio(new antenna included), wipers, clock, horn. These '48 Chevy Fastbacks are getting very hard to find, especially in very nice and running-driving condition. This one looks great, runs well, and is comfortable inside. You can drive this impressive-looking 1948 Chevy Fleetline Aero around town right away. Please feel free to ask questions. Sold in as-is condition. Inspection available.
