Chevrolet C-10 1970 Description

This clean honest 1970 Chevrolet C10 pickup offers chiseled good looks softened by a cool blue and white paint job. It's a good honest truck that presents well with straight bodywork a functional interior and a smooth-running small block V8. If you're looking for a way to combine work and fun this is the answer. The first thing you notice about this truck is the icy paint which looks lifted directly from a 1950s palette right down to the white roof. That ties in nicely with the truck's old-school look a handsome rugged design that is a big part of why these trucks seem to be red hot today. Most Chevy truck fans will agree that the styling on these trucks is a slam-dunk so there was no need to shave French channel or chop anything and the result is a machine that invites you to look closer without beating you over the head with its uniqueness. It's not perfect and the paint job is older but there's something about these trucks that makes people smile when they see them. That also means you won't be afraid to use it as intended which is why there's a locking diamond plate tool box in the bed a set of handy bed rails as well as a rubber bed mat behind the tailgate. Running lights on top of the cab give it a big rig feel and the heavy-duty diamond plate bumper is fitted with a set of high-output backup lights so moving around in the dark is easy. Tan vinyl is the covering of choice inside where the original bench seat has been reupholstered and remains firm and comfortable. The dash has been painted light yellow to contrast with the blue bodywork and matching light yellow door panels tie it all together very nicely. The C10 offered a fairly comprehensive array of gauges all of which are fully functional and at some point in the past a custom center console was added under the dash and includes a pair of cup holders and speakers for the AM/FM/cassette stereo. The simple Grant GT 3-spoke steering wheel is wrapped with black vinyl and feels substantial in your hands a nice change from the thin plastic original. Not a lot of flash just honest solid workmanship and elegant simplicity. The engine bay looks virtually untouched but the 350 cubic inch V8 is nicely maintained with plenty of new equipment in place. Satin black is the dominant theme keeping the OEM look and feel throughout and since it's mostly original it remains reliable and easy to service. A factory air cleaner makes the top end look authentic along with a pair of matching valve covers. New equipment includes belts plugs and wires and a dual master cylinder for the power brake system. Original cast iron exhaust headers dump into a dual exhaust system that sounds great and dumps out just behind the bumper using a pair of angled tips. And nothing looks better on a C10 than factory Rallys which wear fat 235/70/15 white letter radials. This truck represents a sturdy usable straight truck and would be wonderful to drive and enjoy as-is or could be the foundation of something truly spectacular. That's up to you. Call today!
