Chevrolet Corvette 1962 Description
This is a gorgeous 1962 corvette with a 350 block (1974 casting) and built up to cruise, car show it, weekend hot rod, you name it. It has a very nice 8 foot paint and white custom coves that are PERFECT with period correct paint from the best customer painter in Western Washington. all parts purchased from corvette shops or suppliers. Has new ecklers front end, new full set of larger tires with perfect new cragar wheels, period correct and the stock original wheels for the retro look. Has original red hardtop, has black soft top (not original). seats have been upholstered with covers from corvette supplier. Engine looks great, has battery disconnect, new over-flow, new air vent hose, had $500 radio work on wonderbar., gauges work except clock, since I disconnect the battery between drives not sure if it's even connected. Have additional parts, old brakes, leaf springs and other parts. just had transmission taken apart by Corvette restoration place, replaced synchros. I don't drive it much and classify it as a perfect weather, weekend drive to Starbucks. I have put less than 2000 miles on it in 5 years. never over heats even in summer. brakes redone 2000 miles ago. New C7 pulls up next to this in parking lot everybody takes pictures of this one. Has incredible sounding engine with cam....corvette shop has test driven and it gets RAVES! Give it some gas around 3000k RPM and it will push your rib cage in. All questions answered. shipping to be paid for and coordinated by buyer. I am not driving once listed.Mileage on car explanation, according to the previous owner (I am the 4th in 55 years) the custom engine was put in the car by the third owner and that rolled the odometer. Personally I didn't think (and still question) engine replacement triggering the roll over. Didn't matter to me as the car is nothing short of amazing. It drives fantastic, has amazing acceleration if you want it but the perfect vette for the short trip on a beautiful, the longer coast trip, or just enjoy looking at appreciate in value. Just keep an on the auction shows, more and more 62's going for close to 100k and numerous that are already there. This one would not take a lot of investment to make it a true show car. Enjoy. Email me if you want a short video on how the car sounds....
