Chevrolet El Camino 1982 Description

NO RESERVE
1982 Chevrolet El Camino. This is a very nice nearly original car that runs and drives excellent. It was a one-owner car until about 18 months ago and it shows that it has been loved and maintained. We recently traded for this vehicle and rarely do we get something this nice in trade but this car overall is exceptional. Not perfect, but extremely nice. This would be an excellent car to drive and enjoy. Car is equipped with 305 v8, automatic transmission, power steering & brakes, cruise, tilt, a/c, and factory rear air shocks.
The EXTERIOR of the car is in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. The paint shines up very nice and has very few blemishes. According to prior owner, was repainted in the original Dark Redwood color 10 years ago and it has help up very well. It shows that it was garage kept most of its life, as the sun makes the color pop to look almost copper. There is not any significant dent or dings on the car, but there is a small parking lot ding on the drivers door, small one on the hood, and a deeper scratch also on the drivers side. The car has touch up paint included, but we have not done anything to the car, it is 100% has we bought it. The chrome shines up well, though the bumpers are not as shiny as the rest of the chrome. Rear bumper is the worst part of the exterior, having some minor surface rust and a small dent as shown in the picture. On the driver side drip rail, there is a 2-3" area that is starting to bubble, but it is not soft so it may have been there since it was repainted. I would call the exterior local car show ready. Overall excellent weekend driver quality. Bed of car has a few minor scratches as you would expect, but looks like it was hardly used. Window weather striping is getting dry on doors, but still operational.
The INTERIOR of the car is in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. The interior looks almost like this car is only a couple years old. It is in excellent shape. There are no (as in ZERO) tears or flaws in the seat and foam is excellent. The rest of the interior looks nearly showroom. Carpet is exceptional and still has full pile. Door panels are excellent. Full spare and jack are under the rear and look to never been used. Glove box is perfect and has some original paperwork and even a crib sheet detailing the last 30k of maintenance. Radio works, lights work, a/c is ice cold, and gauges work. Only flaws I have found are the small dash crack on the passenger side (see pictures), the small wear area on the carpet behind the rear seat, and the defrost fan not working on high. Heat works, just not super strong on defrost. Even has original floor mats. Overall it is in exceptional condition.
The MECHANICAL of the car is in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. It runs and drives like it is a new car (or let me rephrase, like a new 1982 car). Starts up on first crank, stops as it should, power steering works, no wines, no shakes, no shimmies as it drives down the road. I would feel comfortable driving this anywhere. It does not leak (meaning leaving drops on the ground), though it is SLIGHTLY wet underneath. Under the car, no rust developing, very solid. Shows 83k miles and title is showing the same. In addition, CarFax is showing miles to be believed to be actual, so no reason to believe it is not actual. New battery last month is the only service that was needed recently.
OVERALL, the car is in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. It is close to exceptional, and maybe with a new rear bumper it would be an exceptional car, but pretty darn close right now. I think it would be an excellent car for a collector to make the minor changes to bring this up to 100% or drive it and enjoy it and still turn heads. It is sitting on other rims in the pictures and this is how you are purchasing it. I am including the original 14in rally wheels with the sale as well, though they need some restoration and new tires. These do include all 4 center covers even though not pictured.
All sales subject to a mandatory non-refundable $149 additional dealer fee which is also your non-refundable deposit.
