Chevrolet C-10 1969 Description

1969 Chevy Pickup. This truck is a great example of the 68 - 72 Long Box2wdtruck that is highly desired. Red with White. Yes, this is the factory red that almost looks orange! The color code matches the code on the glove box sticker. 396 engine Turbo 400 three speedtrany. Runs Great!

Paint and body are what I'd considergood. I'ts not perfect but, no major issues with a recent refresh. One small piece of chrome on the tailgate that needs to be fixed.

So...here is the story on the truck. Yes, I did purchase it at Barrett Jackson Scottsdale 2017! This was a truck that I saw and set a price limit on and got it! I DROVE the truck back to South Dakota in January! Ran Perfect the entire way! (over 1200 miles) In my mind that isexcellent proof that this is asolid truck!

With ANY auction vehicle you know there will be someissues. This is what needs to be looked at now, and I will be doing in the coming months on my own. (unlessI sell it now)

1. Doors need slight adjustment.

2. Minor upgrades to the radio, nothing major, just some cleanup.

3. Rear Main Sealleaks a little, I will monitor and see if it needs replacing. At this point "it's just a Chevy rear main seal"

4. Fix the Heating / AC. All the parts are there but the fan does not work ($30 part), and I'm sure the AC needs some love too.

5. Power Steering hose leaks ($60 part)

If I really wanted to makesome money on this truck this is what I'd do. (If I keep it until summer I WILL do.)

1.Front end Drop Kit and discbrakes- $700.00

2.Coilsprings for drop - $200.00

3. New wheels and tires $1,000 - 2000.

The fuel tank in the cab makes me nervous, but I don’t think I will ever change it. If you change it, it’s about $500 - $1200 depending on the kit used.

The moral of the story is, This is a good truck and with about $3,000.00 in parts on this truck it will be a $30,000 + truck (in my opinion). Just look at the other comparatives.

I really think with the base this truck is there is plenty of "meat on the bone" for someone to enjoy and re-sell at any point.
