Chevrolet Corvette 1976 Description
This is my last free listing before Ebay starts charging me a stupid amount of money for the exact same service, so I probably will not relist it with them after this. If you're just watching, better bid now. This is a 1976 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, fully numbers-matching, with automatic transmission, L48 Engine, T-Tops and 77K original miles. It's been garage kept for most of that time. I have recently had a significant amount of work done, including completely replacing the entire rear brake assembly- rotors, calipers and lines. Engine and carburetor have been finely tuned, with new spark plugs and wires. Starts easily, runs smooth. The carpet appears brown in some pics because of my terrible camera which sees things that are not there. It is black, the original carpet from 1976. Headlamps work perfectly, and you can see in one pic that they are down. Wipers are new and work, though fluid does not spray. Tires are not brand new, but have seen less than 200 miles. Rims are 15 inch aluminum, tires are 235/60/15.
Known issues: The body has a few minor dings, mostly just chips in the paint. There is a small crack behind the driver's side rear wheel well from a careless jerk in a parking lot, and some chips on the T-Tops from a careless idiot friend. See pics. Rear window seal leaks, so I don't drive it in the rain. Radio is missing, because I removed the ridiculous tape player an owner in the 80s had installed, which didn't fit and looked awful. Original radio is AWOL. The lock cylinder is broken and slides out when you remove the key. This does not keep you from starting or turning off the car, it's just a minor inconvenience that I've never bothered to fix. AC is completely untested, and I cannot vouch for it one way or the other.
This car is nice as is, and would be very easy to restore to perfect condition or to customize. I will include both the Chilton and Haynes manuals, and a couple books on restoration. I have the original owner's manual, and service history for all work I have had done, and even older registrations, sales receipts and dealer info going back to 1979. I would like to say that you won't find many like this, but that's a heap of crap. They're all over the place. Just buy mine and give it a good home.
THIS CAR IS BEING SOLD AS IS! Once you pick it up, it's yours. I don't care if it breaks down an inch outside my driveway, it's not my problem anymore. It drives well and my mechanic certified it in excellent condition as of 4/27/2016, but I cannot be responsible for things I am unaware of. I highly recommend having it shipped, just to be safe.
Price is firm, no negotiation. I'm already selling at a loss. Buyer will have to arrange shipping because I don't have time. $500 deposit due 48 hours after end of auction, full payment within 14 days unless other arrangements can be made. Certified check preferred. Car is located in Port St Lucie, FL. Local pickup encouraged!
