Chevrolet Camaro 1986 Description

I have been in the car business for over 45 years and have had a very large number of collectable cars and have a knack for knowing which cars are going to increase in value. I believe that these IROC Z-28’s are one of these cars to buy, have some fun with and take to car shows and cruise nights. This particular car checks a great number of boxes as far as collectability is concerned. First, it is an IROC Z-28 which means it comes with certain options as standard equipment.

This particular IROC Z-28 came with a 5.0 Liter 4 BBL V-8 Engine. Also, automatic transmission with overdrive. It also has the very desirable T-Tops. You can see a complete of all the options shown in the picture of the ORIGINAL window sticker!

An article appeared in “Car and Driver” discussing a test of which car, a Corvette or Camaro, would handle better. And, guess what …..the Camaro WON!! They are fast and they DO handle well. They have front and rear sway bars. The front sway bar is huge! If you grew up in the 80’s or 90’s, these were the cars everyone wanted. Chevy “go-Fast” parts are cheap and consequently most of these cars were “Rode Hard and Put-Up Wet” as we say here in Texas. In other words, people drove them like they stolen!! A lot of them did not survive.

There were only 3,915 Yellow IROC Z-28 produced in 1986. Also, it is great to remove the T-Tops and drive around and have some fun! They really look good!

I tried to take pictures of everything you might want to see on the car such as the floors which is VERY important. I also have the Car Fax showing no accidents or speedo roll backs, etc. The Car Fax also verifies it is a true 60,000 mile car.

The interior is in excellent condition as you can see. The rubber all around is great, including the T-Top.

The Air Conditioning is currently not working. Depending on what part of the country you are located, this may or may not be a problem. Please email me through Ebay and I will explain the options on having the A/C in proper working order.

I always encourage people to fly in and look at the car or have it inspected by someone. DO NOT BUY THE CAR AND EXPECT TO COME IN TO INSPECT IT AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS!

The Third Generation Camaros are QUICKLY becoming more collectable, higher in value and in greater demand. A low mileage, original car such as this will only lead the way!

I WILL ANSWER ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS REGARDING THE CAR. BUT, PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME FOR MY RESERVE. It is your responsibility to ensure that all of your questions or concerns are resolved prior to bidding and not after. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THIS AUCTION AT ANY TIME IN THAT THE CAR IS FOR SALE LOCALLY.
