Chevrolet Nova 19690000 Description

I have owned this car for almost 3 years, nd it has been a great project, ut I just took a new job and don't have time for projects anymore, r the garage space to put it on hold. The car runs GREAT and it turns heads. I have probably sold it on the street a thousand times, nd taken a lot of offers while pumping gas, ut haven't been ready to sell until now. Here's what's been done:
New 383 stroker built by Motorworks of Washington--currently has 8000 miles on crate motor. Specs on the engine are as follows:
  • 375 horsepower -- 420 torque
  • Fuel: 87 Octane

  • Heads: 624, 82 Castings – Screw in Studs
  • Tin: Chrome Valve Covers, ainted Oil Pan and Timing Cover
  • Seats: Cobalt Inserts
  • Valves: 1.94 Intake – 1.60 Exhaust
  • Cam: Flat Tappet
  • Rods: Powder Metal
  • Pistons: Federal Mogul Hypereutectic Coated

  • Bearings: Federal Mogul (A Series)
  • Crank: New SCAT or EAGLE 383 3.75 Stroke
  • Manifold: Performer RPM
  • Balanced: Balanced with New Balancer

The car accelerates GREAT and will smoke the tires at an intersection. Not only does it have the new crate motor, ut it also has rear positraction and a TH350 automatic transmission with a shift kit that will throw you into the back of the seat when it kicks into the next gear.
*ALSO* *New* Holley 670 Street Avenger carburetor *New* High capacity aluminum radiator *New* High flow water pump *New* thermostat *New* mechanical fuel pump *New*fuel hoses and pressure gauge *New* starter *New* alternator *New* battery *New* battery cables *New* hoses *New* belts
*New* Cooper Cobra tires *New* wheels
*New* Flowmaster Super 10's exhaust with dumps at muffler
*New* Pioneer Mixtrax stereo with new 6x9 speakers in the rear and new front kick panel speakers
The car also has had the MSD ignition box redone, nd new pickup wires to distributor.
As I said, he car is a head turner, nd at 20 feet, t's almost perfect. BUT, n owning the car, began with the engine bay and didn't make it to body work. The car needs rust repair/replacement at the quarter panels, nd there is also rust on both rocker panels, hough it's worse on the driver's side. The car has been in California for the past several years, o it has enjoyed a dry climate, ut it definitely needs to have the exterior work done. The paint is SUPER NICE and in EXCELLENT condition, ut the rust is bubbling through around the driver's side rear tire, nd the passenger has a clumsy fill job and needs to be sanded. The windshield has some chips, nd there's a rock hit in the corner of the driver's side at the very bottom. The rest of the glass is clean. The body molding has been removed from both sides, ut there are still side molding holes along the passenger side, nd molding around the wheel wells is missing on passenger side.
The car has been a project, nd it needs more work done. The electrical under the dash is a mess, hough everything works--heater blower, efroster, ash lights, tc. The dashboard in the car is blue, ut the interior is green (this was how I got it--I have done ZERO interior work other than putting in the stereo).
The car needs a new right turn signal up front. Left front turn signal works fine. Headlights work great, ut in putting in the front kick panels for speakers, he dimmer switch on the floor needs relocated to the right to fit the panel--still needs to be done. The windows look like they were tinted, nd some of the tinting is split on some of the windows--not terrible, ut probably needs replaced or taken off completely.
The trunk has some surface rust from what appears to be a leak that comes and goes around the rear window, ut does not leak consistently or often. Trunk needs to be restored, ut there is no rust-through.
The car is 46 years old and has A LOT OF NEW PARTS on it, ut it's still 46 years old and is a project. It has been a reliable daily driver, nd it's FAST and LOUD and barks the tires going into second gear, ut it is by no means a new car--or a show car--but it could be.Buyer must arrange for pick-up or shipping of vehicle. Car is also for sale locally, nd seller reserves the right to remove listing if car is purchased prior to auction end if reserve price has not been met.
Title is clear and the car has current registration through January 2016 in California.

Because there have been so many questions about the car, wanted to post the most frequently answered here--
The car has wider tires in back than front--rears are 255/60/R15 and fronts are 235/60/R15. Wheels are from Summit Racing.
The car had AC at one point, ut was removed for more engine prior to when I purchased it.
You're welcome to come test drive it--ABSOLUTELY! Just had a young woman drive it with her dad, ut it was too much car for her--her dad loved it.
One seatbelt in backseat is not attached! Found that out today--first time people were in the back!
