Chevrolet Chevelle 1966 Description

Up for sale is my fathers 1966 Chevy Chevelle. This is a factory #138 car which for those that don't know, that means the car was a factory big block car.
The car looks great, has a classic muscle car look to it. Has the classic muscle car sound to go with it. It runs strong. Four speed transmission. Super sport, this is the ultimate american muscle car.
I'll do my very best to describe the car in 100% detail below. Like I say selling any of his cars over the years, one person's idea of nice and the other's may be different, one person's idea of bad and the others may be different. You are more than welcome to come look at the car before you bid. We are an hour west of Asheville, NC in Franklin, NC. Two hours north of Atlanta, GA, three hours from Charlotte, NC, two hours from Greenville, SC. There are plenty of local air ports to fly into to check the car out.
Exterior:
The car is Ermine white in color. The car was originally Artesian Turquoise, but all but the hardest to see signs of that are long gone from the car. The car was recently professionally painted and looks very nice. I'd give the paint an 8 out of 10. It's not a show finish that you have 100,000 dollars in and have to trailer, but its a show winning paint job that you can drive to dinner afterwards without fear of a pop up rain shower. The door handles, mirrors, emblems, tail lights, tail light trim, & SS hood inserts are all brand new and perfect. All the glass in the car is in good shape. Body wise, the car is solid and shows no signs of any rust. The doors open and shut like they should, fit great, as do all the body panels. Bumpers are basically the only thing that hasn't been replaced. They are very nice from 10 foot. Driver quality up close. A good polishing would probably help them alot.
Interior: The interior is older but shows very nice. It has bucket seats with a center console and shifter. It has an aftermarket radio with a tape player in it. It's got an old school VDO tach mounted above the console. The seats are in good condition, the drivers side has one small bad place on the trim, I try and show it in one of the video's below. The black paint on the tops of the doors is a little thin and could use refinished, but is still very presentable.
Engine & Drivetrain: The car is powered by a 427 cubic inch big block. Depending on who you ask or believe, you could get these at the factory or the dealer. I'm not claiming or even begging to know when this car got the 427 put it along the way. Like I said, one things for sure it's an original 138 car so it came with a big block either way.
The engine is topped with a set of Dart aluminum heads and aluminum intake. It has a nice healthy cam in it as you can here in the video. This big block makes a ton of power and will easily smoke the tires, its a blast to drive and really gets the looks when you pull into cruise night. With all that said, the engine is still very mild mannered, runs cool, and very driveable.
The car has power steering and power brakes.
It's a muncie 4-speed that shifts as smooth as anyone I've ever gotten a hold of.
It's got a 12 bolt rear end. It's got a pretty low gear in it, I'd say its probably a 3.73 or a 4.10.
The car has a set of old school American Muscle Mag's on it. They could use a good polishing, but are still in great shape. They are topped with tires that are less than six months old.
Overall this is a very nice car, runs strong, sounds mean, is a blast to drive! If you have any questions, feel free to email me or call my dad at 828-421-4018.
The car is for sale off ebay so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
Upon purchasing the car, a paypal deposit is due within 48 Hours. The car can either be paid for in cash or we will work with you to wire the money.
