Chevrolet Blazer 1972 Description

1972 CHEVROLET K5 BLAZER 4X4!!!
Up for auction is my 1972 K5 Blazer! It pains me to let this rig go. I searched for over a year to find the right first generation Blazer with the right colors and that was not a complete restoration project or priced out of my reach! That being said I am moving out of state and have a lot of toys and so on to take with me!! In reality though, it would not hurt my feelings at all if I kept it! This rig is awesome to say the least! To start with it is the highly sought after factory hugger orange with black interior and a white top. I will post pics of the top in a day or two once I grab it out of dry storage. The rig has always been stored in a heated shop and has not seen rain or bad weather in over 10yrs. The top also has not been on for 10yrs because it only gets driven in the summer. This K5 runs and drives great!! When I bought it I drove it over 3hrs home at 70mph down the freeway in 90 degree heat with no problems. It has a strong 350 small block with Edelbrock intake and a newRochesterquadrajet carb,The originaldistributorhasbeenconvertedfrompoints to electronic with a Petronix conversion for more reliability . Hasa fresh tune up including plugs, wires, cap, rotor. Also has a fresh oil change! I have been driving it in 90+ degrre heat the past few weeks with no problems at all. Has plenty of power! Sounds like it has a small camshaft but I do not know the specs. The transmission is a TH350 with a mild shift kit that is backed up by a NP205 transfer case. The differentials are original and are in great condition as well. The rig also has headers with full 2inch exhaust out the back with Flowmaster mufflers for a great sound. There areabsolutelyno leaks or weird noises! Holds great oil pressureand the tranny shifts firm as it should. The body is very solid for its age! Most of these K5's are complete rust buckets. This one has had new rockers, rocker boxes and front floor boards installed. When the rockers were replaced the bottom got painted white and then the whole rig was clear coated again. Don't get me wron, its not perfect but rather has the right amount of patina to be a great driver and a welcome sight at any local car show! And its not $30k!! lol!! The interior has all the original front and rear seats and are in great condition. The carpet is in decent shape, a little faded from the sun but not bad, holds up and looks good. The door panels are good, needs new grab handles. I never got around to replacing them. I don't have the console and I don't know if it came with one from the factory. Included is a pic of the built sheet. It has a Rancho 6inch lift kit with Rancho shocks and dual Rancho steering stabilizers. Like new 35inch BFG tires on polished Alcoa style rims. Front windshield is new and all the other glass is original and in good condition as well as being tinted. The top is in solid condition with no broken glass or cracks. It will be installed back on the rig for the new owner. I am trying to think of everything, but there is a lot and I am sure I missed a few things! Serious buyer can reach me on my cell number listed below. I have owned quit a few 67-72 Chevy trucks and Blazers over the years and this is one of the best running and driving rigs I have owned!!
