Chevrolet Monte Carlo 1971 Description
1971 MONTE CARLO,I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR FOR THE PAST 7 YEARS AND DO NOT DRIVE IT,MOTOR IS A FRESH BUILT 383 STROKER WITH UNDER 1000 MILES COMPLETELY BALANCED AT THE LOCAL MACHINE SHOP WITH OVER 2000.00 IN MACHINING COSTS,WITH FORGED SRP FLAT TOPS, ITH PATRIOT 202 ALUMINUM HEADS AND A VORTEC STYLE AIR GAP WITH A 650 QUICK FUEL DOUBLE PUMPER,280 ISKY MEGA SERIES CAM WITH ROLLER 1.5 ROCKERS AND CERAMIC COATED HEADERS,IT HAS A TURBO 350 WITH A 3000 STALL CONVERTOR THAT WAS REBUILT 4 YEARS AGO AND HAS LESS THAN 1000 MILES ON IT AND A 323 NON POSI REAR END.WAS ORIGINALLY BLUE AND I DECIDED TO GET IT REDONE IN BLACK WHICH INCLUDED A NEW VINYL ROOF,THE CAR DID HAVE SOME MINOR RUST ISSUES IN THE QUARTER PANELS BUT IT WAS ALL CUT OUT BY THE SHOP AND NEW METAL WELDED IN.I CAN TAKE PICS OF THE REPAIRS FROM INSIDE THE TRUNK.IT DOES HAVE SOME RUST TO THE TRUNK FLOOR BUT IT ISNT THAT BAD IN MY MIND,BUT A NEW TRUNK FLOOR COMES WITH IT,THE UNDERNEATH OF THE CAR IS IN GREAT SHAPE AND SO ARE THE FLOOR PANS,FRAME IS IN GREAT CONDITION,ALL THE GLASS IS GOOD.NEEDS INTERIOR WORK,NEEDS SEATS REDONE HEADLINER AND CARPET,DOOR PANELS AND DASH ARE GOOD .THIS CAR DRIVES GOOD AND WOULD MAKE IT ANYWHERE IN NORTH AMERICA UNDER ITS OWN POWER BUT OF COURSE YOU WILL WANT TO SHIP IT.MOTOR HAS LOTS OF CHROME,7 QT CHROME PAN,ALTERNATOR POWER STEERING PUMP BALANCER ALL PULLY, FUEL PUMP WATER PUMP MOTOR MOUNTS,STARTER CLOSE TO 1000.00 IN CHROME.PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS AND I WILL ANSWER HONESTLY,WHEN PAINTED I HAD THE SHOP DO BLACK PEARL RALLY STRIPES WHICH SHOW IN CERTAIN LIGHTS.I ALSO INCLUDED A BEFORE PIC OF WHEN THE CAR WAS BLUE,I BOUGHT THE CAR IN VANCOUVER B.C. 7 YEARS AGO FROM AN ELDERLY WOMAN WHO HAD OWNED IT SINCE THE 70'S AND WANTED TO GIVE IT TO HER SON BUT HE DID NOT WANT.THE REAR BUMPER HAS A SPLIT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE, AS 15 INCH GM RALLYS,I ALSO HAVE 95% OF THE CHROME MOLDING, THEY JUST ARNT ON THE CAR,A FEW ARE BRAND NE, BEING BLACK THE CAR WOULD BENEFIT FROM A WET SAND PAINT AS IT DOES HAVE SOME DUST FROM THE BOOTH.....I WILL DO EVERYTHING I CAN TO HELP ARRANGE SHIPPING,I SHIPPED A TRUCK TOCALIFORNIA 2 YEARS AGO AND IT WASNT ALL THAT BAD......I SHOULD ADD THAT THE CAR IS 100% ASSEMBLED ANDDRIVABLE AS YOU SEE IT IN THE 1ST PIC BESIDE THE RED FIREBIR, IT HAS BEEN INSURED FOR THE PAST 3 MONTHS AND PERFORMED FLAWLESSLY.ENGINE COST WAS CLOSE TO 6500.00 MACHINE WORK AND PARTS.
