Chevrolet Chevelle 1969 Description

Up for sale is a great looking 1969 Chevelle SS 396/350 with a 4 speed manual transmission. 12 bolt posi-track rear end 2 door coup. Serial number 13637K479915. Cowl tag numbers are ST 69 13637 KAN349051 TR 779 55 55 PNT 07E 05812. This Super Sport car has a black interior. monaco orange exterior and is turn key ready to drive anywhere. I bought this car out of New York and before that I'm told it came from the mid-west. It is. for the most part completely stock and factory with very little modification. I was told it was semi-professionally restored back in the late 90's. It does appear to have some restoration; but dont look like a frame off or rotisserie restore. I will attempt to touch on many seperate aspects of this car so I can try to cover everything. Interior is factory stock and all original except for the new Sony in dash AM/FM/CD Stereo and the Sun gauges nicely custom built into the top center dash carrier where the A/C vent would be. The factory gauges (Amp. Oil. Temp) have been disconnected to favor the new Sun gauges which are likely more accurate. The overall interior is mint perfect with no tears. no rips. no flaws. It has bucket seats. no console. all inside electrical works except for clock and horn (horns are in the box and will go with car). Headliner perfect. all glass perfect and all manual windows work perfectly up and down. Factory tach & gas gauge works perfect. Dash is perfect. Could use new glove box lock. Under the hood is a 396 big block with 350HP. Engine is believed to be original to car and front tab numbers in block seem to match. Engine# appears to be TO729JC19K479915. Engine is dressed with chrome. has a aluminum Edelbrock intake with a Holley 750cfm 4bbl carb. I was told when engine was rebuilt has solid lifter cam with . 030 over on block with better pistons and crank. It has MSD HEI ignition system with MSD wires. Engine bay is clean and neat. Engine runs strong and is very fast. New Flowmaster dual exhaust. Transmission is a 4 speed aluminum case with a Hurst shifter which is not original to car. Trans works as it should and shifts smoothe all 4 forward gears and also in reverse. Rear end is a 12 bolt 4:10 rear which is believed to be original to car; but I dont see any tag or numbers. Rear works perfectly as expected. Outside paint is nice; but not great. As it's said; it appears to be a 10 foot paint job. Paint shines up well and is fairly nice driver quality. Some small areas of orange peel that I can notice. All outside electrical works as it should. Power steering and disc brakes work perfectly as they should. Parking brake is not connected; all parts and new cables in packages in trunk go with car. W/S wipers work fine. Factory AM/FM radio in box in trunk goes with car as well. All lighting. lenses. glass. mirrors perfect. Has outside SS stripe down side with dual manual outside mirrors. Floor pans are all new. New suspension. Wheels are American Racing Wheels 15" and the rubber is in great condition. Weatherstrips are all new. missing right lower door strip. This is a great looking and VERY fast SS Chevelle. Car is 99. 8% stock except for hurst shifter. Sony Stereo. Sun Gauges. American Racing wheels. Left front eyebrow molding is missing. The previous owner also gave me the build paperwork which also goes with the car. You will not find another like it especially at my low opening bid. I don't like reserve price auctions as I find them a unrealistic waste of time. I am starting this auction at a very low opening bid with no reserve as I will simply let the car itself command it's own fair price. With many people looking and bidding this very popular and desirable muscle car will sell for what it should. Being a 46 year old car it is overall in excellent condition; but it's not new. Whats nice to me may not be considered nice by you therefore let the photos be your guide as well as a personal inspection. In this way you can be sure this is the car you are looking for. It's not new; it's a used car sold in as is condition with no guarantee or warranty. I attempted to give you an accurate accounting the best I could. I encourage you to come and look at this car prior to bidding. I will accomodate you. your representative or the like to look at this car. with some notice. If you have any other questions that this or the photo's can't answer; then please contact me at 203-824-3987 and I will try to answer and will send more photos at your request. Any bidders with less than FIVE bids cannot bid unless you contact me in advance. Your bid will be refused and deleted! A $1000. 00 non-refundable down payment is expected within 24 hrs of auction close. Payment in full US funds expected within 7 days. Payments accepted are Pay-Pal. bank check. money order or cash. Any funds. other than cash. MUST clear my bank to my satisfaction prior to me issuing paperwork and releasing the car. I can/will help with any loading of vehicle to YOUR carrier at YOUR expense. All removal at buyers expense. I can also work with you to hold car on my end. at your risk. for a reasonable amount of time not to exceed 30 days. untill you make shipping arrangements. Thanks for looking.
