Chevrolet Camaro 1993 Description
1993 Chevrolet Camaro B4C. Only 135 total produced with Automatics and 6 speeds. This example is a 6 speed model and is very rare. Clean CarFax and 39,000 original miles. I will consider trades on pre-1974 vehicles. It is in like new condition. Everything works on the car and it runs great. I just passed the local emissions testing with flying colors.
What is a B4C? Here are excerpts from articles I have found on this option code:
Muscle Camaro's through the years have also played a part in law enforcement. It started in 1979 when the California Highway Patrol evaluated a dozen specially prepared Z28s as high-speed pursuit vehicles.
The Chevrolet Camaro B4C is a Chevrolet Camaro equipped with a "Special Service" police package, also known as B4C Special Equipment Options (SEO) code. The package was offered on the Camaro between 1991 and 2002.
The B4C package has heavier-duty (HD) features over a non-police vehicle as well as some options specific to the installation of police equipment. HD features include:
Oversized front and rear sway bars
High-output alternator
Larger (in years after 1991) four-wheel disc brakes
Separate engine, power steering and transmission oil coolers
Certified 150 MPH speedometer
Most of the heavier duty option parts come from a combination of parts from both the regular Z28 and the racing and handling package of the special 1LE option list.
The B4C Camaro's did not come with Z28 badges.
With the fourth-generation of the Camaro came a powerful, 275-horse version of the small-block. When the LS1-powered Camaros were pressed into service, they were the fastest police cars on the highway–capable of more than 160 mph and super-quick acceleration.
Top speed – 155 (LT1)
The car was never put into law enforcement duty so there are no lights, cb's, or other police equipment mounted. It wears it original black paint and original interior, which are both in excellent condition.
There is a small crack in the dash top cover, but everything else on the interior and exterior is in very nice condition. Everything works on the car as it should including the AC.
