Chevrolet Camaro 1969 Description

Now THIS is how you build a great Camaro. Recently restored, his 1969 Camaro RS/SS hits all the right buttons: great colors, reat look, reat options, reat performance. Specifically, t's got a strong #'s matching 350 and a 4-speed, actory A/C, nd the kind of attention to detail that defines the cars we all want to own.Lemans Blue is one of the all-time most popular colors on early Camaros, nd when you see this car you'll understand why. It's not light blue, t's not dark blue, t's somewhere in the middle and looks great from any angle. When the light hits it just so, t seems to light up from within. And with that in mind, ou'd better nail the bodywork, oo, ecause people are going to notice if you didn't do it right. Fortunately, hey seem to have invested pretty heavily in getting this one straight, ecause the shine is miles deep, he gaps are excellent, nd the final polish put a fantastic shine on it. It's just dazzling. Add in the RS hidden headlights, white hockey stick stripe, nd a matching white vinyl top and you get a car that looks aggressive without trying too hard. We like that they kept the stock hood, hich offers those chrome inserts that are far more interesting than any cowl-induction unit ever will be, nd all the proper emblems and badges are in place. If you want a car designed to draw a crowd, his is it.The brilliant white interior is so fresh and new that you'll hesitate before you climb in, rush off your pants, hen settle in behind the wheel. The contrast of the white upholstery and black carpets and dash makes it bright and airy but also easy to maintain, nd the materials and patterns are, f course, otally correct. A center console with a chrome 4-speed is the highlight of this car's interior, ut you'll also notice factory A/C, hich is fully functional thanks to an R134a refrigerant upgrade. The woodgrained steering wheel warms the place up a bit and it's got proper auxiliary gauges down on the console, omplete with their contemporary white faces. There's also a tach in the main instrument panel, hich was a separate option and very welcome here, lus a later AM/FM stereo radio that keeps a low profile and looks right. In back, he trunk is properly finished with a new mat and full-sized spare with matching cover.Mechanically, his Camaro delivers the right stuff. The original 350 cubic inch V8 is plenty strong to make it entertaining and it's fully detailed to make it a worthy show contender. From the correct single snorkel air cleaner to the finned valve covers to the Chevy Orange block, t has a ton of eyeball appeal. Details like the hoses, lamps, nd wiring are correct and with power steering and power front disc brakes, t's a pleasure to drive. Factory markings were reproduced wherever possible and the stock cast iron exhaust manifolds were coated so they'll look that good practically forever. Underneath, few modifications help with the entertainment factor, ncluding a fresh Flowmaster dual exhaust system, ut for the most part it's pretty stock. Clean floors, ebuilt suspension and brakes, nd more factory-style markings make this a car you'll be proud to show at any level. Correct SS wheels and 215/70/15 add the right aggressive look for an SS.Documented with an original Protect-O-Plate and owner's manual, his is a very high-quality F-body that can be driven or shown with equal confidence.
