Chevrolet Other 1937 Description

1937 CHEVY 2 Dr. SEDAN CUSTOM STREET ROD. 2015 marks the 78th year of this beautiful "All Steel" Chevy Master Deluxe 2 Dr. Sedan. With it's vibrant Custom Cranberry Red paint job. pearl stripes and clear coat finish truly makes the appearance of this car astonishing. The car has a 2 1/2" chop that was professionally done by expert auto body finishers. The rain gutters are functional and left exposed as original. Factory Fisher body. fenders and the rare original '37 grill. The car is equipped with a Mustang II coil over front suspension w/2" drop spindles. 8" Ford rear differential w/3. 23 non-posi gears. turbo 350 automatic trans & shift kit. and a new 1969 327ci engine. The engine was professionally rebuilt. It has been cleaned & magnafluxed then painted with Eastwood high temp black enamel paint. Bored . 030 over. honed and fitted with new flat top pistons. crank cut -. 010 under. polished & sized with new rod & main bearings. To complete the build. the engine has also been equipped with Mildon high volume oil pump. a FlowKooler water pump. an Edelbrock mechanical fuel pump. new timing chain/gear set. a mild Summit Racing hydraulic flat tappet cam. brand new Goodwrench iron heads w/roller tip rockers. 1. 94 intake valves. block hugger headers. Weiand 4 barrel high rise intake and a Edelbrock 4 barrel 600 cfm carburetor. It has electronic ignition with a new cap & rotor. The cooling system is an aluminum Griffin radiator with a 14" Zirgo electric high performance fan. To finish the engines appearance. I've installed polished cast aluminum valve covers and a polished cast aluminum oval air filter. The car is also equipped with tinted windows. tilt steering. new power steering rack & pinion. front disc brakes. manual crank windows and has A/C & heat. The interior was covered in dark red tweed and has custom embroidery on the seat backs. The dashboard has been painted to match the color of the car and Classic instruments installed. The sound system is a Kenwood stereo w/CD player and is enclosed in the custom center console. Red cut pile carpeting finishes the interior floor along with red floor mats front & back. Seat belts are installed for four passengers. It rides on 4 American Racing wheels with new front tires. Rear tires are satisfactory. The car has been garage kept since it's restoration over 15 years ago. I've owned the car for 10 years now and it is a very good driver. It has never let me down. It previously had a tired 305ci small block engine that puffed smoke is why I replaced the engine. The new 327ci engine is currently being broke in. It runs and sounds great. I'm putting miles on it slowly during the break in period and making final tuning adjustments. Since the A/C hoses were disconnected. the A/C will need re-charged. I will take care of this prior to the sale of this car at my cost so you will have nice cold air conditioning. The body has no rust and only a few minor flaws. A small bubble in the paint around the cowl area. a small crack in the paint on the lower passenger side door. and few tiny paint chips here & there. The drivers side window has a very small crack in the corner. Photos are reveled to show the imperfections. The car is a driver and NOT a trailer queen. It is well equipped and has been transformed into a beautiful Street Rod. It turns heads wherever it goes. It is in very good condition for a 78 year old car. I have taken very good care of it and maintained this car very well over the years. I am moving soon and will lose inside heated storage is why I'm forced to sell the car. The car has been to many out of state car shows and is now looking for a new owner. A padded vinyl fender bra is also included with the car. More photos are available for serious buyers. Please ask any and all questions that you may have prior to buying this car. I don't want the new owner to have any surprises. You can also call me for more details about my car @ 724-561-7781.
