Chevrolet El Camino 1980 Description

I purchased this El Camino in 2002 with 71. 00 miles from the original owner's widow. It was garage kept since new. It moved to my heated garage which is part of my shop and I have not driven the Camino in the winter or if I knew there would be bad weather. It currently has almost 83. 00 miles on it. It is a pale yellow with dark green on the bottom and also has a dark green vinyl roof in perfect original condition. The body is straight and clean with only a couple of nicks on the tailgate. It has never been in an accident. There is only one other nick and that is on the hood. All of the chrome is clean. The original owner had the Camino undercarraige and engine compartment coated the Ziebart. so there is no major rust anywhere underneath. The only current rust on the underside is the heat shield on the cat. After putting about 2 or 3. 00 miles on it. I noticed some slight wear on a tie rod. I then replaced every movable part of the entire suspension except the A-frame bushings which were in good condition. I installed air shocks in the rear along with a Draw-Tite. class 3 hitch. This was so I could pull my 6' x 8' lawn mower trailer. which I did about 3 times before picking up a work truck. The brakes. brake cylinders. wheel bearings and wheel seals were also done. There were a couple of light scratches in the bed from the original owner. so right after the suspension work I had an "Extreme Bed Liner" sprayed on it. It is black. I felt it was better than a Rhino Lining. It is still in perfect condition. If I put anything in the bed. it was wrapped in a blanket. At one time the original owner must have had a bad windshield wiper because there is a light scratch on the driver's side of the windshield. The carborated V-6 runs nicely. but the air conditioning needs a charge because I never use it. It did work great when I first bought the car though. Right before I stored it for this past winter. I noticed a slight odor of anti-freeze and I replaced the heater core. I also but in a new battery and keep the car on a Battery Tender when not in use. The interior of the car is in original condition. There are wear marks on the plastic door skins. but they are still nice looking. There is a small torn section on the bottom section of the driver's seat. The original carpet is in good condition with no tears. worn spots or stains. The dash is perfect and the headliner is brand new. The Camino still has the original AM/FM radio in it so the dash has not been butchered. The ash tray has a felt lining in it which housed my toothpicks. This is a non-smoker vehicle. The windows and 60/40 bench are all manual. Aside from the scratch on the windshield. all of the glass is in great condition. I originally picked up this Camino for my son to be his first car. but kept it for myself because he wanted a Jeep. I was going to use it as my daily driver but it was so nice. I pretty much used it as a toy. taking it for an occasional drive on nice days. I have previously had this car up for sale on Ebay and was burned twice by potential buyers. I am trying it again in the hope that it will find a good home. I am selling to help pay for my mother-in-law's medical bills. I am a private seller. not a business. so there is no implied warrantee. Please check out my pictures carefully. I want you to be happy with the car and have no surprizes. The sale is final. I have additional pictures of the body. interior and undercarraige upon request. Please feel free to ask any questions. I prefer a PayPal deposit within 48hrs of the close of the sale. The balance can be cash. certified check drawn on a U. S. bank or PayPal. however. the car and my paperwork will not be released until payment is clear. The successful buyer will also need to make his/her own arrangements to relocate the Camino at his/her own expense. I have car trailers and would be willing to transport the Camino for a fee depending on the distance. If you are local and wish to check the Camino out. you are welcome and I'll even throw it up on the lift. Included with this sale is an original appraisal from a certified appraisal company I had done years ago for $6300. 00.
