Chevrolet Corvette 1981 Description

Up for sale is a beautiful 1981 Corvette 350 engine with manual 4 speed transmission. Engine was rebuilt 2009 by Means Motors. Approx. 2000 miles on it since overhaul. Engine block and heads are numbers matching to the VIN. Engine was bored . 030" over. Mild cam was installed with flat top pistons. A new dual exhaust system was also installed at this time. Hurst shifter. Transmission was rebuilt and updated as well. (shifts perfect) Brakes were converted to stainless steel calipers(brakes just flushed in April) and new shock put in at the same time. Essentially this is a mechanically new car as of 2009. There is nothing you will need to touch or up date via the engine/drive train. I have all the receipts/paper work for the rebuild. Burgundy exterior with tan leather interior. Factory mirrored glass T tops. I would say the paint is a 8 (minor scratches and road wear for 30+ years). It comes with a car cover as well. Interior is all original and in good shape. Seats have no rips but show wear. Radio works. still has the R-12 air conditioner which doesn't work. headlights go up and down and function as they should. This is a rare manual 4 speed. 1981 was the last year of the 4 speed corvette. Most 1981's were automatics. This is a rare low option car. no power seat. no power antenna. no power locks. no cruise control. All new tires as of April and new battery recently installed. Runs/drives/idols fantastic.
