I have for sale a 1966 Chevrolet C10. fleet side. short bed. Truck started out as a 100% factory c10 truck bought new from Jim Reed Chevrolet in Nashville TN. Truck was sold in 1977 to the second owner. who lived in Murfreesboro TN. I bought the truck off of this guy in September of 2014. Truck was originally a 250ci inline 6 cylinder with a Saginaw 4 speed. Original power brakes and power steering truck. I have done every bit of the work that you see here to this truck since September. Full frame off. Body was removed. and frame was completely stripped and painted gloss black. No part on this frame has been skipped over or left untouched. Brand new suspension. brakes. steering. and drive train. Tons of pictures throughout the whole build. Pictures can be provided before auctions end through email. Picture album documenting the whole build will be provided with the sale of the truck. This is a very nice build. with tons of receipts for all the brand new parts. This is NOT your run of the mill $5000-10. 00 C10. Serious inquiries only. please. Below is a list of everything that has been done to the truck. I'm sure there are a few things that have been left out. but what's listed hits the high points. Please read complete ad before asking questions. Thanks. SUSPENSION This truck is bagged on all 4 corners. Air ride consists of an 8 gallon tank. 2 380 compressors. and a 3/8 manifold setup. All 3/8 fittings and air lines. 2 dual needle guages mounted under the radio in the cab. shows air pressure for each individual air bag. Has 4 switches. one switch for each air bag as well. The front consist of McGaughleys 2. 5 inch drop spindles with bag mounts in factory coil spring location. Rear is factory 2 link. with bags in factory location on trailing arms. A small bolt in C-notch was used to allow the frame to sit level with the front. Shocks are brand new Belltech Nitro Drop 2 shocks. relocated using CPP shock relocator brackets. Control arm bushings are brand new. as well as the rods that connect the control arms. Ball joints are brand new as well as trailing arm bushings and pan hard bar bushings. BRAKES Front brakes have been converted from drums to 12 inch drilled and slotted disc brakes. Rear is still drum brakes. but Have been rebuilt 100%. even down to the drum itself. Brand new lines from wheel cylinders and calipers. all the way to master cylinder. Brake booster is factory from the c10. master cylinder and proportioning valve is for a 1996 S10. This is all new as well. STEERING Steering is 95% brand new. The only part that wasn't replaced was the power steering box. which was already in good condition. Inner and outer tie rods. pitmit arm. idler arm. etc is all brand new. DRIVETRAIN Engine is a 5. 3 LS engine out of a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado. Truck had 100. 00 miles when engine was pulled. and engine ran great without smoking or anything like that so engine was not rebuilt. Engine runs very strong. and only modifications to the engine is the LS1 intake with Corvette Coil covers and Taylor 8mm plug wires. If you didn't know when you popped the hood. you would guess this is a legitimate LS1. Looks very good under the hood. Exhaust consists of factory LS1 camaro shorty headers into 2. 5 inch exhaust. no cats. then into nice stainless MagnaFlow mufflers. then into very nice tips coming out on either side in front of the real wheels. True dual exhaust. Transmission is a New Venture NV3500 5 speed from a 2001 Silverado with a 4. 8l V8. Clutch. pressure plate. flywheel and throw out bearing are all brand new. As well as the Willwood master cylinder. retrofitted to use the factory clutch pedal. Driveshaft has been custom made for this application. and rear end is the factory 10 bolt with 3. 73 gears. Fuel is provided to the motor from the 15 gallon aluminum fuel cell mounted between the frame rails behind the rear axle. Fuel cell does have a sending unit for gauge as well. All fuel lines are brand new. MSD fuel pump is mounted on passenger side frame rail. running into a Corvette fuel regulator. ECU has been flashed to eliminate VATS. all emmisions (including cats and rear oxygen sensors. smog pump. etc). PSICONVERSIONS. com built me a custom made standalone wiring harness specifically for this build that utilizes the correct plugs for the ls1 intake and injectors. as well as correct wire lengths to provide a clean installation. ECU is mounted inside the cab on passengers side kick panel. and all fuses and relays are mounted under the dash on the passengers side. Very clean wiring setup. Truck has a diagnostic port as well as a check engine light. just like any new model fuel injected truck. This is literally a brand new truck with an old style body. Engine stays cool using the aftermarket 4 core aluminum radiator. and dual 11 inch electric fans. all brand new. All hoses. serpentine belt. thermostat. etc. Is also new. Engine is held in place by nice LS Swap Conversion adjustable motor mounts. and custom made transmission mount. modified to work with factory trans crossmember. which had to be relocated towards the rear of the frame about 9 inches to accommodate for the longer transmission. WHEELS AND TIRES Wheels are 22x9 GM Transport wheels. They have been painted dover white to give it that old school look. They are wrapped in brand new Champiro tires. 265/35/22R. 9-1/4" baby moon center caps retrofitted to these GM wheels complete the old school look. INTERIOR bench seat is in decent condition. Was not replaced. but a nice seat cover was installed to go with the theme of the truck. Brand new carpet was installed over dynomat throughout the whole floor of the truck. Retrosound radio. Radio looks factort. but has amp outputs. as well as Aux outputs so you can listen to your phone or ipod while driving. but still retain that factory look. All gauges are Marshall Classic electronic gauges. No mechanical gauges were used. All are back lit using very nice white led lighting. that matches the lights installed in the air gauges. All gauges do work. however. speedometer is incorrect. and gas gauge is also incorrect. I believe the gas gauge issue to be a ford sending unit mounted in the tank while using a chevrolet style fuel gauge. Isn't a huge deal. either replace sending unit or just keep the tank full. EXTERIOR Body has not had work done to it. how you see it is the toll that time has taken on it. No rust was fixed. paint was scuffed up and body has 3 coats of clear. Only rust is in the bottom of the front fenders. and very little in the passenger side rocker. A little behind the grille. nothing horrible. Just typical spots for this old trucks. but truck isn't eaten up with rust by any means. Rust was not fixed because I wanted to preserve the patina. Truck was originally bought at Jim Reed Chevrolet in Nashville TN and still has the emblems to show it. as well as factory c10 emblems. All glass and weather stripping is brand new. The bed floor is a raised bed floor to hide the fuel cell and air ride. Bed slates have been stained and sealed very nicely. Factory gas cap is in place to cover original hole in cab. but is not used. New cap has been mounted in the bed to allow filling of the fuel cell. Roll pan replaced the factory bumper. It was allowed to obtain surface rust. then 3 coats of clear were applied to this as well. Front bumper was sanded to bare metal. then cleared so it would match the roll pan. Chevrolet was painted dover white in the tail gate to match the transport wheels. Headlights. tail lights and brake lights work with all brand new bulbs in them. Turn signals do not work. but are wired up. Truck will need a turn signal switch for the turn signals to work. Ad is kind of lengthy. but I would like all potential bidders to know exactly how far this truck has come. Like I said. this is not your typical c10 build. It is not a 30k dollar show truck. but it's far from the 10k close to stock trucks that sell all day on ebay as well. Bid with confidence.
