Chevrolet Blazer 1978 Description
Zero-feedback bidders please contact me PRIOR to bidding. thank you!You are bidding on a rare from-the-factory (not converted) Two-Wheel-Drive 1978 Chevrolet Blazer C10 Hard Top Convertible with the Cheyenne high line trim package. This particular Blazer was owned by the same classic car enthusiast for the past 31 years; second owner. It has been parked under cover when not driven. has been well maintained. and not only looks great. but runs and drives great as well. At 100K miles. the original 350 was replaced with a GM Goodwrench replacement crate engine. which has under 50K miles on it; the truck runs and drives just great. The automatic transmission was also gone through. as well as routine and regular maintenance performed over the years (oil changes. brakes done. fluid services. etc. ). She's in fantastic mechanical condition; all the gauges work. all the electrical features work. power steering. power brakes. trailer package. heater. stereo. even the dome light. A reliable and fully operational vehicle. Now the fun stuff: She's been professionally lowered 4" all around with custom springs and shocks. The springs retain their full load rating. so you can tow your boat or travel trailer with confidence. The Blazer now rides on a set of Modern chrome wheels with almost brand-new wide 60-series radial tires. The body is extremely straight. with only one tiny ding in the hood. The paint job is an older custom done well in two-tone red. It still looks fantastic from 10-15' away. but in full disclosure the clear coat is failing in spots (pictured). Still looks great. as you can see. I took the pictures from less than 15 feet away. so you can easily consider the paint job a "15-footer" or better. She looks great. The truck is also extremely dry. with the only evidence of rust presenting under the paint on the passenger fender up front. a very minor spot on the driver's door step. and under the paint on the firewall. all pictured. Floors. frame. windshield pillars. and the balance of the outer body are straight and solid without any rust issues. The grille is a custom version and in great condition. The engine bay has had the inner fenders. underside of hood. and firewall painted to match the exterior for a super clean custom look; very nice. The interior is in very good condition. and features its' original carpet. rear seat. side- and door panels. headliner (could use a good cleaning). spare tire. jack kit. etc. The rear seat folds forward for hauling stuff. The front bucket seats are from a similar year Blazer. and have slip on covers that closely match the stock interior color. The seat mounting brackets are original. and the passenger seat flips forward for rear seat access. The gauge bezel has been painted to match the exterior for a continued clean. custom look. The hard top is removable. but has remained on the Blazer most of its' life. They look great with the top off. I wish I could keep this one. All the glass is in great condition. the window regulators operate smoothly. door hinges are tight and the doors close easily. tailgate glass rolls up and down smoothly. and the tailgate comes up and goes down smoothly for your next tailgate party. I can't think of anything else to add. Clear title in my name. VIN matches title exactly for state inspection and export. In my opinion. this is a lot of vehicle for the money. You may call me at 360-936-9257 with any questions you may have. Please be prepared to remit payment within 3 days via cash. major bank cashier's check (must what for the check to physically clear the issuing bank prior to releasing the vehicle and title). deposit into my Bank of America account. or bank-to-bank wire transfer. While every effort is being made to describe the Blazer as accurately as possible. it is in fact a 37-year-old classic vehicle. and therefore being sold as-is. without warranty or guarantee expressed. written. or implied. Shipping is the full responsibility of the buyer; I will make myself available to your carrier for loading.
