Up for auction with No Reserve is a very rare 1960 Chevrolet Apache C10 Suburban Panel Wagon Utility Truck. This classic 2 Door Panel Wagon was an officially commissioned Arizona State University vehicle. Built at the GM Van Nuys plant in Los Angeles. California. this truck is a two wheel drive half ton. 115" short wheel base vehicle. with a 235 straight six cylinder Thriftmaster Special motor and a factory three speed on the column. Ordered with no options whatsoever for the University this Apache is very rare. Only one single factory seat. with a radio and cigarette lighter delete. she is completely utilitarian all around. Her original generator and mono carburetor are still under the hood even. 1960 was the first year to offer independent front suspension which is a very nice drivetrain option for a smoother ride. 1960 was also the debut year for Chevrolet's C/K series and this Apache is a C code two wheel drive truck. White exterior paint with an all gray steel interior this Apache is very original throughout. Under the hood everything is bone stock with no altercations or changes. Low original 39K A box miles. this truck was used until the early seventies at ASU and then decommissioned and simply stored away. The Apache has not been on the road for over 40 years and will need restoration. She does not run or drive but has all her mechanical components intact. Structurally she is very solid with a little bit of rust but nothing crazy and she has had her front floor boards replaced at some point in time. Her right rear quarter was hit and that will need some attention as well. along with other cosmetic items also. Her original wooden bed is in excellent condition and the cargo area is very clean and all original. Apache trucks are always in high demand and this panel wagon is a great investment. Very low production numbers and not many like this for sure. She comes with a clean Arizona title with no issues whatsoever and all factory VIN tabs are in place and correct.
