Chevrolet El Camino 1981 Description
For Sale is a 1981 Chevy El Camino. We received this beautiful car as part of an inheritance…my father lived in Florida and owned it for several years before he past. This is a one-off. unique El Camino that was beautifully restored several years back and taken to many car shows. As you can see in the pictures. it has a beautiful high gross custom paint job and many special bodywork features. For example. the door handles have been shaved and the driver’s door opens with a toggle switch in the front grill. Two inside switches open the driver and passenger doors. The gas door has also been removed to give the rear quarter a clean and solid look. Additionally. the tailgate has been fused to the rear quarters (see pictures). There are no dents. scratches or chips on the vehicle. The only imperfection I see is a quarter size paint bubble on the lower panel of the driver door. Regarding the interior. the inside was completely customized with new seats and gauges to match the overall look. All the gauges work as expected. This vehicle comes with air conditioning that works but the belt has been removed since my dad never seemed to use the ac. The heater also works. The car does not have a radio installed but the wiring is in place for installation. Both the carpet and headliner have also been replaced. The only thing that needs to be done is to install the inside windshield/headliner plastic trim piece. which we have (could use a repaint). The engine is a highly-chromed Chevy 350 with dual exhaust that sounds amazing and the power is transferred to the wheels via an automatic transmission. This is one great driving El Camino. In fact. we drove this El Camino up from the Florida Keys a couple of months ago with absolutely no problems. Lastly. this vehicle sits on new Kumho tires mounted onto chrome wheels (one wheels has a very minor dent on the outside rim). I also have car and tires covers and some magazines about this vehicle. If you have any questions about this sharp-looking El Camino give me a call at (804) 920-8115. Thanks for your interest.
