Chevrolet Corvette 1966 Description

Frame off restored to NCRS standards Sunfire Yellow/Black L79 327/350 4-speed with PS. PB. AM/FM radio. Power antenna. original wheels with reproduction tires! 54 miles since restoration completed in 2014 at a cost of $125K plus. Only 54 miles on the restoration!Won First Place at the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Charlotte National Meet in 2015!Restoration Process:ENGINE: The engine and other mechanical components were totally rebuilt with correct block and matching codes to entire car. CHASSIS: The chassis was totally rebuilt. After disassembly to a bare frame. a special jig was used to check for alignment and repairs are done. The frames was sandblasted and painted with two coats of enamel paint to a new finish. Front suspension parts were replaced and rebuilt using new springs. bearings. ball joints. etc. Rear suspension parts were replaced and rebuilt using new bearings. seals. etc. The transmission and rear differential was completely rebuilt to OEM standards. INTERIOR: The interior was completely disassembled. All chrome components were re-plated or replaced if necessary. All gauges. the tach. speedometer. and radio. were restored. The steering column was disassembled. sandblasted. and repaired as reassembled. The interior was replaced. as well as the dash. door panels. carpets. seats. etc. The convertible top was disassembled and rebuilt to original specifications. BODY: The body was removed from the chassis and placed on a jig. First the body was stripped. removing all old finishes. Repairs to the body were made as necessary. Any damaged panels were replaced and hand-fitted. The body was then turned upside down and thoroughly cleaned. Upon completion of body work. the body was gel coated and block sanded to remove all ripples and imperfections. The body was then sprayed with a primer and sanded to a finish surface and the final finish was applied to OEM standards. TRIM COMPONENTS: All component parts. inside doors. cowl. tops. and deck lid were restored or replaced as necessary. All stainless moldings were buffed and chrome components were re-plated to their original condition
