1978 was the 25th anniversary of Corvette. To celebrate, completely remodeled body was rolled out with a new fastback style. The new wrap-around rear window provided much more space behind the seats but it is not a hatchback car. The special anniversary edition included a unique Charcoal Silver/Silver Metallic two-tone paint job for an extra $399 tacked onto the sticker price. Now this is a very special and rare Corvette for the Silver Anniversary, his is a two owner car. This car has never had a repaint nor touch up. The 11.75" 4 wheel power disk brakes still stop this thing on a dime like they should. The factory L-82 engine 185hp 350 C.I.D V8 is stock other than having the water pump changes. The AC system has been upgraded to the current regulations for Freon. The turbo 350 -- 3 Speed automatic transmission shifts amazing smooth, ctually you don't feel it shift at all.
