Chevrolet Corvette 1960 Description

Hi,thanks for visiting my auction. Up for auction is a 1960 Chevy Corvette, red with white coves, white top and black interior.I purchased this car from a older couple who have owned it for 20+ years.I have owned it for about 8 months and it is my daily driver. The car runs and performs extremely well and is complete. Everything operates properly including all gauges, clock, wipers, horn, all lights and signals, windows role up and down, doors hood and trunk all open and close properly.Radio also operates but is a aftermarket cassette deck. The heater/defrost operates and the fan motor is in running condition. The air scoopventilator raises and lowers as it should.Theconvertibletop has a rip as pictured and has somestainson it. The frame work is inexcellent condition and folds the top nicely, top hatch opens and closes properly. Even the glove box between the seat operates properly and locks. The seats have no rips or tears, same with the carpets. Doorpanelsare in pretty good condition. Trunk opens properly with key, spare tire, jack and tools are present. This car will pass all safety inspections and can be driven anywhere. It runs that good! The under side of this car is super nice with no rust on the frame orsuspension. No play in the steering linkage, king pins,or control arm bushings. The car brakes nice and strait and no rattles in thesuspension over bumps in the road. Under the hood is completewith heat shields andaccessories intact. The engine is a 283cid stamping #s T528GC casting #s 3731548. Transmission is a muncie 4speed with original type shifter.Differentialoperates smoothly with no noise, stamping #s AH 10 15, casting #s 3725899.Tires are BF goodrich silver town wide white walls with very good tread remaining.Engine starts right up, idles on the fast idle cam for a few seconds and then comes off down to a base idle of 650 rpms. Has the aluminum 7 finned valve covers, castironintake manifold casting #3783244. Ram horn exhaust manifolds casting # 3749965A LH,3750556A RH. The interior is in decent condition. There is no tears in the seats, door panelsare nice, carpet also have no tears. All door locks, latches etc operate properly. Nothing missing all complete. Exterior paint and chrome are showing their age.The paint may be original as I see no over sprayanywhere. The paint is flaking off in areas and has checking everywhere. The chrome has pitting but no rust through. I have taken lots of closeup pictures so please inspect them and use them as part of the description. This is a great candidate for a restoration that can be used during the process or enjoy the car as is! Inspections are welcome, come see, drive, inspect! If you have any questions please call 843 338 1400. Thanks for looking,Robert.
