Chevrolet Corvette 1963 Description

Beautiful 1963 Corvette Convertible. This is a very honest car that has always been well taken care of and always has been 100% rust free. I purchased the car out of California from the second owner in 2003. I drove and enjoyed the car for two years before performing a full body off restoration in 2005. The frame and all suspension was powdercoated in correct semi gloss black while all brackets and other hardware were refinished in the correct shade of gray or appropriate finish. New Polyurethane bushings were used throughout along with a lightweight composite rear spring. The body was stripped to bare fiberglass only minor repairs required and then substantial time spent on body gaps and straight panels before the body was regelcoated. Then PPG Radiant silver paint applied. All the panels were sanded and buffed before reassembly. Original bumpers were rechromed. New Al Knoch top. seat covers. carpet and door panels. The dash is original and does have two areas where minor cracks have begun to appear. They did not really show up very well so I did not include them in the photos I have uploded. If anyone would like me to email some closeups of them I will be happy to. New weatherstripping throughout. Everything on the car works. Headlights work great. Even the original AM/FM radio. I have a 6 disk cd changer hidden in the rear storage area connected to the radio. The engine is a 1995 LT-1 with electronic fuel injection. It starts and runs great! It has a GM Performance LT-4 Hot Cam kit with 1-6 roller rockers. And ported and polished aluminum heads. This engine makes a conservative 375 horsepower and with the car weighing in at 2936 lbs it is very quick and a blast to drive. This was a completely bolt in swap so the car could easily be put back to original if you ever wanted. The transmission is a Borg Warner 5 speed with overdrive. Rear end is a stock 3:42 so in 5th gear at 70 mph you are turning around 1850 rpm. I have never checked but I am sure the car gets over 25 mpg on the highway. Michelin Pilot tires 225/50-17 Mounted on American Racing Salt Flat Specials. I have described a lot of items on the car as new. The restoration is ten years old but it has been driven less than 10. 00 miles and pampered so it is well sorted out but still in excellent what I would consider show condition. Inside and out. Top to bottom. I will be happy to photograph any area you would like. With this car you do not need to trailer. You could easily drive this car home. I would trust it to drive across the nation. I have described the car as accurately as possible. If you have any questions or would like to discuss please email or call. 870-680-0299
