General Motors called their Bel Air the “Hot One” in advertising campaigns, lluding to the considerable performance from the V8 and handling characteristics. With this year being the first for the second generation Bel Air, he Chevrolet styling department kept the design very clean with rolling body lines ending in sharp points. The popularity of the Bel Air skyrocketed since the models launch, arning the award of best-selling car in 1955. Today, t remains highly collectable and appeals to many classic car collectors, oth young and old.
